We stayed in the Loft. It was so peaceful and spacious. We were there for a week and it really started to feel like home. The staff are all wonderful, extremely helpful, great communication via WhatsApp before and throughout our trip, helping us book taxis, advise on public transport etc. The the hotel manages to straddle the line between hip, friendly and helpful but not over the top in your face all the time like some small hotels can be. The location is great, in a cool, relaxed part of Palermo Hollywood, surrounded by great restaurants and coffee shops and a short walk into Palermo SoHo where you can find find many shops, restaurants, nightlife etc. If we were going back to Buenos Aires we would definitely consider staying here again.
A master piece of architecture and design (minimalistic concrete, glass, natural wood) with furniture and interior design in very good match. The lobby, bar, restaurant area and garden/pool area is one of best I ever been in absolutely perfectly disgned and laid out (although small, it is a small hotel, around 20 rooms). Location is perfect in the heart of Palermo/Hollywood which is my favorite part of Buenos Aires with its lower houses, rich restaurant and bar culture and more laid-back feeling, but assume more travel time and cost to go "downtown". It is a rather quiet street and once you are inside the hotel it is very peaceful. Staff and service absolute top class, always friendly and attentive. An evening drink in the garden, the reception, breakfast, yes everything was well taken care of. Maintenance is lagging. Corners with wall paper scraped off, a rusty screw in the shower, wooden tables that would need some sandpaper and varnish, paint job of doors and frames deserve better craftsmanship, some deep cleaning of dust and webs in the outdoor areas are overdue. Nothing critical for the function but a shame on such a beautiful building. The doors between room and corridor are not up to standard for a hotel at this level. There is a gap between the blade and the floor and sound travels easy through the thin door blade. Overall it is a small hotel, so not much "traffic" in the public spaces outside the room, but the quality of the door to the hotel room is a key differentiator of good or bad hotel experiences. . There should be better information at booking and check-out on how to prove that you are a foreigner and do not need to pay the 20+% VAT.
We were deciding between Home Hotel and a different hotel in Palermo Soho. I'm so glad we went with Home - it was on a very nice, quiet street with plenty of shops and restaurants around, but not quite as busy as the Palermo Soho neighborhood. Our room was nice and bed was comfy. The entire hotel has a very cool mid-century modern design. Breakfast is good and drinks at happy hour were delicious. To my surprise, guests actually hang out at the pool in the afternoon, which was a nice little escape from the city! Highly recommend for a couple wanting to be in a nice, quiet neighborhood within walking distance of all the best restaurants, bars, and shops.
My husband and I loved staying at Home Hotel in Buenos Aires Jan 2025. We highly recommend staying at The Home Hotel. All the hotel receptionists were extremely friendly, helpful, personable, with excellent communication skills. The hotel is safe and guests need to be buzzed in to enter the hotel. The outdoor patio area is beautiful with butterflies flying around and the resident 20 year old cat is friendly. The resturant food is delicious and the waiters and waitresses are very friendly. The massages we had were relaxing and peaceful. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Great little hotel in a great location. The staff were so friendly. I mentioned a dietary restriction on day one, and for the remainder of our stay they proactively gave me food at breakfast that fit my needs. The neighborhood has lots of cafes and restaurants, and is an easy uber ride to most things you’ll want to see in the city.
