I have a tradition to take some hours and sit on the Coffee House 360-degree cafe, enjoy some of the most quality coffee in ST and amazing food they offer. Portions are huge, prices are small, staff smiles are coming from the heart. Really loving this place and its worth visiting! But definitely climb up to the rooftop to get the 360 view!

Zanzibar Coffee House is both a boutique bed & breakfast and a café, but we came mainly for the rooftop, and it did not disappoint. When you enter, you’ll see the café downstairs, but don’t stop there. Walk all the way up the stairs to the rooftop. You’ll be rewarded with a beautiful 360° view over the rooftops of Stone Town. It’s a lovely perspective from the heart of the city. The service is very pole pole — slow in a good way. The design feels authentic and local, and the overall vibe is chilled and pleasant. For drinks, we had: • Mango lassi - absolutely delicious, no added sugar, very fresh and healthy. Highly recommend. • Lime & coconut lassi - more like a milkshake and quite sugary and too sweet. Tasty if you like sweet drinks, but we preferred the mango. • Fresh passion fruit juice - excellent and refreshing. Definitely recommended. They accept card payments and USD. Overall, it’s a great spot to enjoy Stone Town from above - perfect for a couple of drinks or even a relaxed meal with a view.

Rooftop restaurant is a nice place to hangout. Great food and drinks though a bit expensive. Need to pay $2 for admission, but comes with $2 deduction of the rooftop bar tab. Really nice view over Stone Town. Often not crowded at all. Worth a visit for a really good dinner or cooling drink.

Based on the reviews, I expected a bit more. The food was average and lacked strong flavour, and the tea wasn’t as bold as I hoped. The vibe is amazing, the building itself is beautiful and full of character. The staff were lovely, kind, and genuinely fun, which made the experience better. Worth visiting for the atmosphere, even if the food didn’t fully impress.

A truly beautiful and authenic place. The interior is classic and the rooftop lounge is really cosy and provides a great overview of the city. Furthermore we booked via the phone in a time where there was no internet. As the booking didnt came through correctly, Richard was really helpful and ensured us that the room was available for us. Also he was very patient and helped in thinking along with certain inquiries. They knew we went to airport the next morning so they gave us breakfast to-go. Also the other personnel was super friendly and strong as well - they wanted to take my luggage upstairs, that strong are they! They have a laundry service too. The only thing is that you cannot park the car in front of Coffee House as it is in the midst of the center so you need to walk a piece with your luggage. Last, I fully recommend this place as the people are helpful, patient and super friendly, the rooms itself are clean and has airco. Also, the additional services are great, the Mocrochino coffee is a recommendation. And they can arrange great guides to take you into Stonetown!
