Personally, this isn’t my kinda space mainly because it’s so touristy BUT it is a decent spot for coffee and from what I’ve seen, for working. I also enjoyed the view and the lounging. A bit of a pity with the rope which I guess stops hawkers from coming closer but still enjoyed walking out to take a dip! Enjoyed my couscous bowl.

Mr Kahawa is a beach side cafe/restaurant. PROS:The menu is refreshingly creative without trying too hard — bright, beach-appropriate plates with thoughtful twists — and the coffee is genuinely good, not an afterthought. For digital nomads and slow travelers, it strikes a rare balance: beautiful enough to inspire, relaxed enough to linger. Cons: If there is a missed note, it lies in the service. The wait staff, while efficient, could offer a warmer welcome; a touch more ease and attentiveness would make the experience feel less transactional and more embracing. Still, for the view alone — and the pleasure of working or daydreaming seaside with a proper cup in hand — Mr Kahawa remains a compelling stop.

We arrived here were greeted immediately and got a table without any waiting. The food here was amazing. I had the Mr. Beef Burger which was great. My dad had the catch of the day which was white fish which he said was really delicious. My sister and my mom had the seafood curry which they said was good but it was a bit sour for them. For dessert we had their coconut ice cream and salted caramel ice cream, which was also really nice. Overall I would definitely come here when staying in Paje.

Very nice place to enjoy your holidays in Zanzibar. The stuff is Super nice, always in a good mood - you can see they have a lot of fun in the team. Food is the best here at Paje Beach - for sure. Try the Falafel-Wraps and the different Kind of coffees. It’s directly at the Beach, but you also have a really nice Pool there. Cant wait to be back here! Thank you so much for having us, Mr. Kahawa-Team!

This restaurant is beautifully located right on the beach, offering stunning ocean views and a truly relaxing atmosphere. Their coffee, made from 100% Arabica beans, is absolutely delicious – rich, aromatic, and perfectly brewed – and you can even buy it on-site. They also serve a lovely Chardonnay that perfectly complements the seaside setting. It’s a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy great flavors with an unforgettable view.
