This place is absolutely awesome and very beautiful. It is incredible how this was built over time and with the materials they use to build it. The stained glass windows are very unique. Highly recommend you get a tour of this place to learn all about it.

A spectacular site nestled among an unassuming and quiet neighborhood in D.C. The architecture and detailed carvings is a wonder to see. The grounds are meticulously maintained as well as a beautiful flower garden named Bishop's Garden. Inside tours were not being given the day I visited however, I will return to try to take a peek. The quaint cafè offers breakfast all day and lunch fare for guests, with an outside patio to sit and enjoy the beautiful weather. An evening tour to climb up to the tower is offered every Thursday from May-August 2026 ($80/pp). Each time I've walked the sacred grounds, I am always amazed at the beauty, peace, and tranquility that seems to surround the area. Next time you are in the Nation's Capital, add the National Cathedral to your sightseeing list of places to visit. I promise, you will not be disappointed.

Such a lovely place to visit and beat the heat when I went last July. Guided tour was well worth it to learn more about the cathedral and the stained glass. While I didn't go on on the bell tower tour, there is an upper floor open to the public via the elevator. It really looks like Hogwarts there. On the clear day I could see National Mall and Washington Monument. If the time and weather are right, you also can see the glow off the stained glass windows.

Washington National Cathedral is truly a wonderful place to visit. Visiting here is a deeply rewarding experience. Every stone and architectural detail of the cathedral carries history and stories. For visitors who appreciate history or religion, it is absolutely worth exploring slowly and carefully. From the observation level on the 7th floor, you can enjoy a stunning 360-degree panoramic view of Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland. Along the corridors, informational displays help explain what you are seeing, making the scenery more meaningful and engaging. The gardens are beautifully and carefully maintained. At sunset, the white stone exterior is softly covered with a golden glow, giving the cathedral an even more sacred and peaceful appearance. Overall, it is a place that inspires both reflection and appreciation.

The Washington National Cathedral is absolutely stunning. The architecture is grand and peaceful, with so many intricate details in every corner. The stained glass windows are beautiful and light up the space in the best way. It feels calm and powerful at the same time. You can walk around at your own pace and there are quiet spots to just sit and take it all in. The upper levels offer a nice view of the city and it’s a great place for photos too. The inside is just as impressive as the outside and it’s well maintained throughout. If you’re into history, art, or even just peaceful spaces, this place is worth visiting. It’s not just a religious site but also a piece of living history and design. Definitely one of the most beautiful spots in DC.
