My stay was in one of their six bed rooms. It is a great value and the room, while basic was more than adequate. It is located in a good spot, close to restaurants, transit, and bike rental stations. The staff were also very friendly. They do offer breakfast as well which I didn’t take advantage of. If you are expecting a five star hotel this isn’t it, but I had a good stay at Duo Housing.
Stayed three times in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and I enjoyed my time in Duo. This is a hostal, not a hotel. It’s cheap, safe, great location and respectful to Latinos, but your privacy is limited. If you can manage that, Duo is an option for you. I stayed in the second building and the a/c worked perfectly, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom and kitchen were close and always cleaner and pancakes were good. For the price, it’s the better choice!
The rooms are clean and the building is nice. The staff seems professional but extremely anal about rules. They kept throwing my almond milk away cause "no drinks allowed in the fridge." They also make sure to lecture you in front of others so you feel embarrassed. One night I wanted a refund and they threw me out.
n Unforgettable Stay – Incredible Atmosphere & Food! "We had an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and relaxing—perfect for a getaway. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive
Probably one of the worst hostels I've ever stayed at. I was supposed to be there for two nights, but I left after one night already. I booked a 12-bed dorm, but was put in a 10-bed drom - OK, that's fine. But the rooms are SO crowded, the lockers don't work, and the beds are dirty. My sheets were full of hair and stains. The common area is dark (barely any light) and just not very welcoming. The hostel has a no-shoe policy, which is fine, but people walk around barefoot or in dirty socks. Believe me when I say it smelled like cheese in the entire house. Location is great though.
