Very disappointed with this art museum . A few rooms with limited works. The information presented is very inaccurate and misleading . This wasnt a pleasant experience from the start. No advice given Re tickets and navigating the museum. No clear instructions given at our haze. So after climbing numerous steps and presenting our tickets. We were told no coats allowed because of the humidity. Which which incorrect information. In visiting many infamous art museums around the world. I have never been asked to remove my coat. So we had to pay 1 euro for the a locker to store our coat. A few rooms , with no wall labels. The exhibition sheets were incomplete. After visiting the few rooms we asked a bored looking member staff who was picking her nose. Where the rest of the exhibition was. To be sent to level -1. To be told we would have to purchase another ticket to enter. Please do not waste your money on visiting this so called art museum.
The Marina Abramovic retrospective was arresting, intense and tactile. It will stay with me for a long time. The space itself was grand and well laid out. Some nice products in the shop too
Went to Vienna only bc of the Abramovic exhibition and it was worth it. I really enjoyed it so much, nicely done. We didn’t interacted w the staff so much so I don’t get the bad reviews about them. Wish there would be a performance happening when we were there and that there would be a bit more souvenirs in the shop. 💌
the museum is wonderful, and the exibition moved me, it's been in my mind ever since. nice flow, spacey. staff were a bit pushy about mobile phones in the area, a calmer demeanor would be appreciated, we carry phones everywhere now and it's understandable you forget you even have it on you. huge line at the coat rack.
Interesting museum. A little espensive but wotrh visiting if you like pop art. Vienna card accepted.
