Interesting experience to order here. No line up. Just walk up to the counter and order what you want. Option to take away. Option to eat inside, standing. There is a cellar room in the back of the bar for standing. No sitting. No wc. Food was interesting. We tried a few cicchetti. Some are great. Some not great. It depends on what you choose and your taste buds. Nice place to take a break.
A great local spot for cicchetti and a nice selection of wines. The cicchetti are delicious and offer excellent value for money. The staff are also very kind and welcoming. The place located right in front of a gondola garage, and the view makes the place feel even more special. A must see!
This place is good for small bites (cichetti) and good wine. We got some cured salmon, fried meat ball and potato balls and calamari with green pesto. The calamari was super good with the lemon zest on it. It was tender and not chewy at all. The cured salmon with lemon squeeze was also excellent. The staff was friendly and orderly and helped us in our choices of wine to enjoy it with. They have a massive collection of wine for you to enjoy and the prices are reasonable. The vibe is loud and lovely with mostly standing room and the seating is limited, both inside and outside.
I went here in the evening, and while it does get quite crowded, the overall experience is hard to beat. There’s something really special about walking along the water at night with the lights reflecting off the canal and then stopping in for cicchetti. The cicchetti here is fantastic and among the best value you’ll find in the city. You may end up standing while eating, and it can be busy, but people are generally respectful of space, so it didn’t feel claustrophobic. The staff are also helpful in finding you a spot, even if it means squeezing in a bit, especially if you’re carrying a backpack. The food is excellent across the board, and even the bathroom situation is solid, which isn’t always guaranteed. Overall, a great place for both quality and atmosphere.
Loved this place, small authentic with a great atmosphere. It was really busy at lunch time but we managed to perch ourselves on the end of a bench. Lovely staff and a great place to sit with a drink and watch the world go by.
