In a city as crowded as Venice, this museum was blessedly quiet and empty. The exhibits were incredibly fascinating, with fossils displayed in really cool ways. Not much information on humans unless you take the audio tour but the exhibits on dinosaurs and many other animals were incredibly detailed and informative. If you want to get away from all the people and look at some interesting animals, this is the place.

A fascinating and beautifully curated museum. The exhibits are modern, immersive, and very well explained, with highlights ranging from fossils and minerals to marine life and unique scientific displays. The lighting and layout make it engaging and easy to explore at a relaxed pace. A great place to visit in Venice if you want something different from churches and palaces—educational, interesting, and suitable for all ages. Highly recommended.

Basically one of the best natural history museums if you want a day out of the rain and very kids friendly . Fantastic designed exhibitions and lots of interactive displays.

This is a hidden gem, located in a quiet and relaxing area of Venice. The museum features a wide variety of unique exhibits, including a large collection of stuffed animals (which might feel a bit eerie by today’s standards), animal skeletons, rare fossils and gems from across Italy, prehistoric remains, and much more. There are even several aquariums showcasing unique fish species. All the exhibits are thoughtfully displayed in beautifully designed rooms, each arranged with charm and care. The museum also has a small, tranquil garden that’s perfect for a quiet break. We visited on a holiday, yet the museum wasn’t crowded at all. Entry is free with the Venice Museum Card. This is a must-see, especially if you're visiting Venice with kids.

A small municipal museum that houses a good gallery of natural history. Of interest as some skeletons of dinosaurs, and stuffed animals. Beware the shark lurking round a corner, and a goose flying at you from another.
