Decent takeaway place for fried food. Don't expect anything great It's good but just basic fried street food similar to if you went to a chippy in the UK
I saw this place in a YouTube video, and I resolved to visit during my short stay in Venice. I liked this place so much that I ate there three times in a day. There is no seating, as everything would be made to go, but we found a small table beside the joint that we could take refuge and eat in peace. First I tried the mixed bag containing sardines, small fish, shrimps and calamari, so that I could have a little bit of everything. Out of the four, I found calamari and shrimps best, with the small fish a close second, so in the next visits I ordered those exclusively. The calamari and shrimps were lightly dusted with flour and fried. There is no complex seasoning, just lightly salted, though you could add salt, white pepper, and lemon if you'd like. If you decide to stay in Cannaregio in your time in Venice, you'd be lucky to live near this joint. Even if you don't, if you want simple fried seafood that is uncomplicated, it's still worth making the detour here.
Was better than we expected. You could tell the seafood was nice and fresh. We went to many restaurants looking for the small fried fish and this was the only one that had them.
A dishonest restaurant! A female employee played a dirty trick on foreign tourists. If you are a foreign tourist, don’t go. I wrote about my experience at this restaurant. After I pointed at the first picture and clearly told the female employee in English that I wanted to order two hamburgers (€8.00 each), she opened a fridge and handed me two soda cans. I told her that I didn’t want to buy any drinks, but she quickly said something and still put the two cans into my hands. I misunderstood and thought the soda was included in the price. When I was paying the bill, I noticed that my €8.00 hamburger had become €13.00. I spoke to her, and then she handed me two bags of French fries that I didn’t order. Without my consent, my order of two hamburgers (€16) turned into a bundle (€26) consisting of two hamburgers, two sodas, and two French fries. This was the only unpleasant experience I had in Italy during my vacation. I was genuinely concerned about the food quality at this dishonest restaurant.
The shrimp was absolutely amazing! Perfectly crispy, delicious, and very fresh. The place was very clean, and the overall experience was great. I will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!
