Views on the Venice are stunning. Hidden gem. The best thing about the place are the wonderful people who work there. Venice is generally very powdered, like rosy. The palace is the same. Crazily wonderful rare paintings collection. Interesting and unusual.
This house is beautifully curated inside! If you come out of the Galleria D’académie, it’s a 5 minutes walk away. Compared to the Christianity paintings of large-scale grandeur exhibited in the gallery of academia, the exhibition in this house fosters a tranquility and intimacy with the viewers which is not captured on photos. I especially enjoyed the exhibition of Venetian paintings from the Republic age at the top floor, where neither a painting is known digitally in art history but each one has the essence of spirituality and happiness flowing in the strokes.
A lovely old house converted into a museum with ceilings by some of greatest Venetian artists. Upon entering one is met with a vast painted hall, of sublime quality and design. On the same room are a set of state rooms with art, furniture and other items. I especially enjoyed the tapestries, though they are in need of a clean and some restoration. The upper floors are galleries. There is one statue of a veiled lady that is particularly impressive.
Very enjoyable. Interesting mix of art and furniture. Lovely space. Nice bathroom, and a rarity in Venice, benches. Not crowded.
Nice store to visit, it has the workshop in the back if you want to actually see how the masks are made. Because of its popularity due to the movie Eyes wide shut, I think the prices are superinflated so if you want to save money I would advise to check out other traditional stores.
