Seafood-focused Venetian dishes served in a cozy, family-run restaurant adorned with photos.via Google

A historic trattoria that famously refuses to serve tourist menus, focusing strictly on wild-caught lagoon fish and seasonal seafood.

Signature
Tagliolini with spider crab (granseola)

A beautiful ode to seafood with some meat and vegetarian options too. I strongly recommend going here if you like good quality seafood and have a decent budget. The warm bread (if you have an early lunch reservation) is excellent and the best we had in Venice. I had spider crab pasta and my friend had a ground duck meat ragu. We both really enjoyed ourselves. If I had come with a seafood lover I would have ordered more!

Went on a recommendation from a friend. Very nice, tucked out of the way on a quiet alley. I had high expectations. Not sure about the Michelin rating, I expected a bit more attentive service only because of that, but I am spoiled in that sense. Food was very good. They sent reminders of my reservation several times. Interior was nicely done. This is a small restaurant, you would need a reservation.

Awesome lunch spot with affordable wines by the glass to enjoy. Fried seafood platter was very delicious you can tell the quality of seafood used. Also highly recommend getting the crab pasta the flavours were on point!

We absolutely loved our dinner at Antiche Carampane. The service of the two waitresses was immaculate and they explained to us everything we asked about. The starter of mixed Venetian fish dishes was so delicious. Still thinking about the bread with onions and broccoli which came in the bread basket. The main which was a local fish wrapped in cabbage on a rice saffron cream with seasonal vegetable creams was amazing. Would definitively want to go back and can’t wait for the next time.

Incredible food, wine and service! The crab salad starter was incredible as was the slider crab fettuccine! Definitely book here if you are in Venice
