Perfect place for some ciccete and a glass of wine. Easily the best food I had in Venice. Excellent friendly service and eager to recommend. I had a delicious glass of Prosecco. It’s a small place so you might need to time it well for it to not be super busy. I went around 2pm
Definitely worth the visit if you can find a spot! Best Cicchetti we had the whole stay without a doubt. Great atmosphere and wines that match. Staff (or owners ?) seem exceptional. Helpful, friendly and relaxed. Italy at it's best! Nothing more to say - grazie!
I visited Bar All’Arco after seeing so many great reviews and was keen to try their cicchetti. I ordered five different options, and two really stood out, the anchovies with gorgonzola and the shrimp with fried onions, both of which were very enjoyable. The other three were decent but nothing particularly memorable. I also tried an Aperol Spritz, which was fine, but I’ve had better elsewhere in Venice. It’s a very busy spot and finding a seat outside is unlikely, so we ended up standing to eat and drink. Service was decent enough, but overall it’s probably not somewhere I’d return to, although I’m glad I gave it a try.
So happy to have made it here before I left the city, this place is an absolute must! As the staff will kindly explain to you, they have several traditional cicchetti, like the one with creamy cod or gorgonzola+anchovies, and a line of cicchetti that change daily or even every 15 minutes. By the time I finished my first order, new ones were freshly made and I couldn’t resist trying some more of the delicious treats. The chocolate bread with veal spleen and kidneys and puréed potato blew me away! Great deep-fried young artichoke as well. Highly recommend!
Bar All’Arco is among the best places serving fresh cicchetti. Also excellent wines for reasonable prices. Unfortunately it is a small place and gets full very quickly. Long line of people and handful of sitting or standing options.
