Celebration dinners live or die by service, and The Roof understands this instinctively. We booked a rooftop table for a birthday, and from the moment we arrived it was clear the staff had noted the occasion. The welcome was warm without being overbearing, and the pacing of the evening felt intentional rather than rushed. Before ordering, our server walked us through the available cuts of meat tableside, a small but confidence-building gesture that signals pride in the product and respect for the diner’s choice. The menu balances indulgence with accessibility. A dedicated kids’ menu made the experience genuinely family-friendly, which is rare for a restaurant focused on premium cuts. That balance carried through the rest of the night. At the table, a handwritten birthday card was waiting, and later an unsolicited birthday treat arrived, generous and well-timed, extending the celebration rather than interrupting it. The only stumble came with the steak. Ordered medium-rare, it arrived closer to medium. The Roof distinguished itself in how it handled the issue. The error was acknowledged immediately and corrected without defensiveness. The replacement steak was cooked exactly as requested, well-seasoned, and properly rested, demonstrating why the restaurant showcases its cuts so confidently. Overall, The Roof delivers more than a good meal. Attentive service, thoughtful details, and a commitment to making things right when mistakes happen make it a strong choice for celebrations.

Excellent service! The staff were very accommodating and quickly moved us to a different table when there was a bit of wind in our corner. The happy hour food was wonderful, tasty and well-presented. It’s a lovely spot to catch up and hang out with friends.

The Roof at Black + Blue is exceptional!!! My fiancee & I came here on a Saturday evening after receiving multiple recommendations, and they did not disappoint! To begin, the atmosphere was very nice & classy. Seemed like the kind of place you can go to on a business lunch or a nice date. The front of house staff were very polite & walked us to our seats, pulling out the chair for me. Our server greeted us & we ordered. My fiancee got the Wagyu Carpaccio, and the New York striploin with a side of fries and Brussel Sprouts. I ordered the dine out menu ($65) and got the Steak Tartare, the Prime Rib, and the Black + Blue Butter Cake. Everything was exceptional! The wagyu carp was amazing, definitely one of the best I’ve had and they served it with slices of fresh black truffle 🤤. The tartare was also delicious! Probably the worst dish of the night, but it was still very good. Both of our mains were very good. The prime rib was definitely the better steak here, but the stars of the the show were the sides. The mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts were some of the best I’ve had! Additionally the fries were seasoned & cooked to perfection. Lastly, the butter cake was truly TO DIE FOR! It was just slightly too sweet, but still very excellent. It was a nearly perfect dessert & end to our meal. I’d rate the food & experience overall a 9.6/10! Very accommodating of allergies, very considerate of dining experience, excellent food, and a great atmosphere. But make sure you come here only if you’re willing to spend at least $100 per person.

A fantastic happy hour with exceptional service. Really, the service here is outstanding. The drinks menu only has three mocktails and definitely needs more non alcoholic options!

Had an amazing dining experience at The Roof- our server, Sasha, was attentive and friendly and helpful with recommendations and suggestions that heightened our meal. Service was fast, but not rushed, the atmosphere was peaceful and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff, specifically Jason, made sure everything was perfect from the moment we arrived to confirm our reservation, to the moment we left. Going above and beyond to make sure service ran smoothly and dishes were perfect. We were visiting from the US, so hopefully we will have the opportunity to return some time in the future. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
