Great dance floor and stage. Trans-Canada Highwaymen were awesome here. Take out a 2nd mortgage for drinks. Servers were very friendly.
This I one of the best places I've been to that is so perfect for concert venues. It's big, lots of room, you can always see the artists on stage, this place also has seats and tables as well as alcoholic beverages. But the sound system could use an upgrade. Still sounds amazing though.
Best music venue in Vancouver. Sightlines are great and total occupancy is under 1000. Historic building with equally historic musical guests who've played here.
If I were 54-40, I’d buy this place. The Commodore Ballroom is one of Vancouvers greatest and most historical venues. Fantastic sound, intimate space for concerts and food/drink. I may have staggered around this dance floor as a young adult (teen?) seeing the likes of other great bands.
First visit to this venue and it absolutely will not be the last! My concert crew and I traveled from Washington for a MXPX show and it was just a blast from start to finish. The security deserves a raise, not only are their manners out of this world but they truly looked after every single person in the venue (especially the crowd surfers lol). Just an endlessly beautiful space with so much to offer as well, so much so my words sadly fall short. If you can catch a show here.. you MUST!
