The Acorn is a Michelin-recognized restaurant, so expectations are naturally high. I recently came here with a few friends for brunch, and overall, the experience was good, but a bit underwhelming for the price point. One thing that stood out right away was the timing of the food. My partner’s meal came out well before everyone else’s — to the point that he had finished eating before the rest of us were served. While they emphasize that their multi-course tasting menu is the ideal experience, it wasn’t clearly explained just how small the individual brunch portions would be. The waffle, for example, was much smaller than expected — literally about a quarter of a single waffle, topped with oyster mushrooms , with no side. For the price, I would have expected more substance. Everything we tried was tasty, including the potatoes and the pancake, but the pancake was also just one large single pancake. Nothing really felt filling. We all agreed the food itself was good, but portion size was a common point of feedback. My friends also mentioned that the coffee wasn’t particularly hot — more lukewarm — though they do offer refills, which is nice. I appreciated the small details, like the background music and overall ambiance, but service timing could definitely improve, especially having main dishes arrive closer together. Portion sizing also leans very minimal, which makes sense for fine dining, but not necessarily for brunch when most people want a hearty, satisfying meal. Overall, I’d likely return for dinner and try the full tasting menu, which seems more aligned with their concept. For brunch, though, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Ambiance is also beautiful.

My partner and I are vegan and travel a lot, and we always jump on any vegan tasting menus. This is going in the top 5 of anywhere we’ve been. Everything was delicious, and the wine pairings were so well selected. Our server was also lovely and they easily accommodated a gluten free version for me. Highly recommend!

This experience was pure perfection. The tasting plates were all fabulous and explained in delicious detail. I lost track of how many dishes we were served. I am not a vegetarian but could easily be one if this food was served to me everyday. Everything was so fresh. They were also able to accommodate a nut allergy. I will absolutely return and highly recommend trying it.

Amazing restaurant that is all vegetarian and near zero waste. Food was simply delicious. We did the chef tasting and got 10 wonderful flavored and complex beautiful dishes. All the staff were super friendly and genuinely in love with they work. They new all the dishes and how it was made and answered any question we had. Definitely and spot to try.

I love vegetarian restaurants where you don’t even realize they’re vegetarian until late in the meal. It was amazing from start till end. The fried halloumi was crispy on the outside but maintained its consistency and texture inside. The shitake was delicately flavored and the flan like dessert was ethereal. Amazing meal.
