I’d been meaning to try this False Creek restaurant for a while, so when I did visit I ordered some fairly standard fare to try out for the first time. The service is excellent, they leave a gadget at your table to press for the attention of the staff any time. Their hot and sour soup is quite good, not the best in Vancouver but nothing to complain about. It had relatively large pieces of chicken and plenty of shrimp. I ordered the mushroom egg Foo Young.. also really good and buttery, but if I have one complaint it would be that the salt is a little on the heavy side. Finally I ordered barbeque pork northern style chow mein. I really like this, it was obviously stir fried in soya sauce with a chewy texture, and the pork was on the verge of crispy. I would definitely order this again. Parking is easy, there are plenty of stalls out front that are shared with other businesses, and it’s right off W 6th Avenue.

This was our first time trying their food and overall it was a good experience. We ordered 2 egg fried rice, one black bean sauce chow mein, and a combo meal that included hot and sour soup, shredded chicken chow mein, and breaded chicken. Everything tasted really good — the flavors were well balanced and the portions were satisfying. The only downside for us was the breaded chicken. We didn’t realize it would be coated in a sweet sauce. Personally, I’m not a fan of mixing sweet and savory flavors, and unfortunately the sauce ended up soaking into the noodles, making part of the dish sweet as well. That was the only part of the meal we didn’t fully enjoy. Aside from that, the food was fresh and tasty, and we would consider ordering again — just with a different chicken option next time.

This place was recommended by a friend and is well known on Vancouver’s West Side, so we decided to try it out. We dined in and the restaurant was clean with a nice atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly. We ordered Ginger Beef, Green Beans, Mongolian Beef, and General Tso’s Chicken—every dish was amazing. It was busy and we waited a bit, but it was totally worth it. You could tell how popular this place is with all the takeout drivers coming in. Definitely adding this spot to our go-to list for group dinners.

This has been one of my go-to spots for Sichuan food in the area. The flavors are bold and authentic, with just the right balance of heat and numbing spice. Dishes come out hot and fresh, and portions are solid for the price. Service is friendly and efficient, whether dining in or ordering takeout. It’s a reliable place when you’re craving real Sichuan flavors, not toned-down versions. Definitely recommend Szechuan Chili to locals who enjoy flavorful, spicy food. I’ll keep coming back.

Had an issue ordering through Uber eats and restaurant resolved it fairly and without any fuss. Have been ordering here for about 15 years for take out. Support this restaurant by ordering over the phone or online. Only Uber benefits when you order online using the app
