I am so happy with my time in Vancouver. The place was big, clean, and comfortable (except for my room #201), which was so packed that you barely can walk between beds, and I am small. Don't let them assign you that room. The staff were kind, especially Stefi and Camilla. =) They were warm and kind, it felt like home. Also, the time they were working, the music was soo nice...

It was awesome! Everything was really clean, even the washrooms (the staff checks them every 2-3 hours). The kitchen was really nice, big and clean and I really enjoyed using it. The only thing I didn't like was my room. All in all, it was a good room, but it was facing to Granville Street and it was really loud during the night (especially at the weekend). It was no problem with earplugs, though. The location was good, too. Great Hostel.

Hostel itself is fantastic, huge with tons of rooms, free breakfast is actually good with fresh fruits and veggies! We stayed in a private room w ensuite bathroom so it was pricey but somewhat understandable for being located in core downtown; wish the room had more table or shelf spaces. We wanted to do one of the free tours offered daily but didn't have time! 20min walk to the waterfront, then we biked to Stanley Park, etc. City location meant lots of street noise, although earplugs available at the front desk. Across the street from homeless shelter so many opioid users on the street, just made us feel uneasy but it's a city problem not the hostel's unique problem.

I stayed at the hostel for 2 days and it was a great experience. The staff are polite and professional. Stefany checked me in at the front desk. She is super helpful and always with a great smile. On the second day Paula took the group of hikers who had enrolled to the Pacific Spirit Park. She is wonderful host and made sure that everyone in the group was comfortable while walking at the their own pace. Overall Samesun Hostel is a good place if you are coming for a vacation, business trip or to just chill. I would definitely visit here again for the good hospitality that I received here.

Great hostel in my experience! The rooms are small but that doesn’t matter because you’re only using it to sleep. I love that the beds have private curtains! The bathrooms were clean and water pressure good. There is a full kitchen with 2 of everything so you can cook and eat cheap. Staff were super helpful and they offered lots of activities (I didn’t do any but they looked good). Location is great to walk or get the bus anywhere and everywhere. Flip side of this is that it is a busy street so it’s loud at night and keep your personals close by when you step outside.
