During my vacation to Vancouver, I wanted a vibey date night and this was the bar I had settled on. Upon entering, we had walked down a set of stairs and to my embarrassment, I lost balance and tripped on the final step because I could not tell that there was one more step. The guests and hosts saw and we all laughed. Apparently someone had faceplanted on the floor some night prior, so this seemed to be a pretty common occurrence LOL. I can confirm that it is indeed very, very dim and dark inside. A DJ had been playing and we were luckily seated in the far back corner dining section behind him. It felt private and intimate. We had ordered multiple cocktails throughout the night such as northern light, yum cha, first light, and radio saigon. Caviar service was amazing and the oysters were of 'medium' size, which were perfect and fresh. Our waitress had informed us that the kitchen had closed after we had placed an order for 1/2 dozen of oysters; however, chef still came thru literally 20 seconds after she had mentioned that they would not arrive. Overall, Prophecy felt intentional and I was impressed with everything--from the design of their menu all the way to the cleanliness of their restrooms. They deserve all their awards and more. Thanks to the Prophecy team for making this a wonderful night for my girlie and I.

Amazing drinks and even better service! It was a busy night, but our Korean server(Kelly) took such good care of us and gave us the best cocktail recommendations. She took the time to explain the cocktail menu so well. 10/10 experience, highly recommend!

Amazing mocktails and the food is excellent! They rotate the art and it has a fresh feel every time you go. Depending on the time there is live music as well which can be really nice. You will need a reservation. Try to get one well in advance.

We love coming here for a date night! Great atmosphere and top notch service. We haven't tried any food, but the cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are absolutely amazing. We usually don't have any problem getting a table without the reservation, but for a bigger group or on busier nights it might be a good idea to book in advance.

Prophecy Cocktail Bar downtown Vancouver is my opinion the city’s most exciting upscale cocktail lounge. Located below the iconic Hotel Georgia and marked by a glowing bunny sign, it delivers a sexy, sophisticated vibe from the moment you walk down the striking glass staircase. My niece and I walked in without a reservation and were graciously seated at the bar. The vibe was lively, with a well-dressed crowd ,this is exactly what you want from a high-end Vancouver nightlife spot. It’s rare to find a cocktail bar here with such refined energy. Everyone was dressed up. At the bar we were welcomed with a beautiful leather menu, water, and complimentary snacks. The handcrafted cocktails menu is expertly curated into four distinct sections, each explained by the bartender because even at 43 and experienced with drinking I didn’t know 1/3 of the ingredients listed. Every drink we ordered was exceptional!!!beautifully balanced, creative, and artfully presented. I already have two future reservations and highly recommend Prophecy for date nights, girls’ nights, special occasions, or anyone seeking standout cocktails in downtown Vancouver’s vibrant bar scene.
