We came for a group dinner, all in all it wasn’t bad. First time back in 10 years+. Not my favourite in Vancouver but nice ambiance, professional service, and fairly good pacing. There were some hits and some misses for me, nothing really stood out in particular. Whole fish was a bit dry. Octopus salad, truffle pasta and pork dishes nicely done. We opted for the omakase, I did enjoy the variety but the portions were mid for the price, 1-2 bites per person family style.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Kissa Tonto this evening. Our server, Roberto, was amazing. Knowledgeable, fun and attentive. Though the entire team works really well to support service and vibe. The food was amazing. We had the omakase which highlighted some staples from the menu but the also elevated some dishes. We will definitely be returning.

We had an absolutely stunning dinner when we were in town in Vancouver at Kissa Tanto. We found the restaurant on the Michelin site and were not disappointed. We love tasting menus so we can try a little bit of everything and their omakase did not disappoint. Their unique fusion of Japanese and a light Italian touch was interesting and we had such a great meal, but what we really enjoyed was the service. Our server was extraordinary and went out of her way to really communicate the menu to us, explain everything, and really offered an excellent perspective on each extraordinary dish. We did the wine and sake pairing with the menu and that was both delightfully surprising and delicious. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience! Food was amazing and service was excellent - attentive and friendly without edging onto intrusive. Cocktails were beautiful and super tasty. We had the tasting menu and every dish was delicious but the standouts were the first two courses - radishes with octopus and the white asparagus. The wagyu was grilled perfectly. Forgot to take photos of the last two courses, iberico ham and Japanese sweet potato, and tiramisu for dessert. If I had any suggestions, it would be that, after a series of such wonderful and creative food, it was a bit of a let down(?) to have tiramisu for dessert. It was really excellent tiramisu but after the creativity and beauty of some of the plates, it just seemed a bit anticlimactic to have tiramisu. Not complaining because it was amazing tiramisu. Just an observation. Everything was truly wonderful.

Wish I could give it 4.5⭐️. Great mains, but didn't enjoy some of the appetizers. The udon had a sweetness from the seafood and a sour from the citrus. Noodles were perfectly bouncy. The specialty steak was made really well and the herb butter sauce paired perfectly. I would've wanted some bread to dip in the sauce and I think that would've completed the meal with us feeling full. All in all, good place for a special occassion, but not necessarily somewhere I'd visit often.
