Fortune sound is like a rite of passage for everyone. You just have to experience going here. Whether it's for some niche group, a dance recital, live music, or a regular hip hop night it's fun. Bar staff are on speed and get it done right. Drinks are always ice heavy and expensive but like where isn't it? I've been on the top floor and the mid-floor and both are fun. They got a funktion one sound system but it needs an audio engineer to tweak acoustics asap. Bring ear plugs in the meantime.

Fortune used to be better. The sound guys at fortune messed up Rochelle Jordans concert bad, she was real mad at them. Could barely hear her at times and not the first concert here that this has happened. Second thing is Fortune is constantly letting in hoards of guys, skipping lines, they just pull up at the door and give a dap up to the bouncer, even when it's QUEER GIRLS NIGHT ONLY (babes on babes) and then they make groups of girls go back of line to pay full price on nights where it's purely men standing around inside. MADNESS. Who wants to come to a club like that? Every night might as well be called Dudes on Dudes. It's a shame they have cool events but I'd say skip it and go elsewhere.

Fortune Sound Club is such an amazing spot! Every time I go, the vibes are always incredible. The music is SO good, and the staff truly make the experience even better! Everyone is super friendly and welcoming!! Big shout-out to Sam, one of the bouncers outside! He’s kind, respectful, and made everything super smooth. Also, Raquelle is the absolute sweetest with the best energy. Her fashion is next level and the fuzzy hats are iconic!! Amazing music, great people, immaculate vibes! Definitely one of my favourite spots in Vancouver!!

Should be renamed to just "unfortunate club". First experience there, they made everyone wait outside for over an hour in 3 degree winter weather before cancelling the show because they couldn't get their speakers to work. Was looking forward to seeing the band, hopefully they can rebook to a venue that has functioning sound equipment even if the tickets are a little more expensive. If Fortune Sound Club had communicated better (or at all...) with the line down the block while it waited outside, I might have felt a little more positive about the experience. I don't plan on coming back...

I was able to see an incredible show by Georgias Mattiel here. What an awesome venue! The size is what you want for an intimate concert/show. They support local artists, the drinks are semi-reasonable and the place also doubles as a club. I’d recommend this place if any of your favourite bands are playing here. It has an awesome location, and the aesthetics of the place are just cool.
