Have been there a couple of times. I’m huge on steaks and out of all the halal steak options I’ve tried in the lower mainland, this one definitely takes the cake. Didn’t even know that they had halal options until a friend mentioned it to me, and when I found out, I was beyond happy. Upon entering the resturaunt, I’m always greeted by the nicest staff, and the coat check is also super convenient. I kid you not, last time I went there, a waiter offered to put the coat on me. Anyways. I always grab the truffle Mac and cheese and oysters for appetizers, along with a mocktail which they have a good selection of. Their ribeyes and halal wagyu cuts are amazing, especially with a side of broccolini or asparagus. Their house sourdough is great as well. As for the desserts, i recall having the berry cheese cake (dont recall the name) and it was great. Never been disappointed with their food or service, and will definitely be coming back in the near future.

This was our first experience at Elisa, and a family celebration with a group of five. Our waiter recommended we dine family style, which was great because we did want to try a lot of different things, and share several cuts of steak. The steak here is on another level, and cooked flawlessly. Outstanding, truly worth every penny. We were however very disappointed with the serving size of most of the sides - when we received them the amounts provided were not suitable for a group of five. We would have been happy to pay for double orders if our waiter had informed us the serving size for the sides is suitable for tables of 1-2, but they did not. This was especially remarkable because they did tell us they thought we had not ordered enough steak, which we disagreed with completely. My impression was that staff had been instructed by management to push the high-value items, and not the rest of the menu. That may not be accurate but that was how it seemed to us. Which is too bad, because we certainly would have been happy to pay more for larger orders of some of their very tasty side dishes had it been suggested! They also forgot our sauces, which was unfortunate when serving such a high calibre main course, and we had to wait several minutes to tuck in while they found those for us. But we were very happy with the food that we did get, when we got it!

I had a great experience at Elisa in Vancouver. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. A special thanks to Clara — she was amazing. Even though the restaurant was busy, she managed multiple tables effortlessly and stayed attentive, friendly, and professional the whole time. You could really tell she cares about her work and the guests. She handled everything smoothly and made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place, and if you get Clara as your server, you’re in great hands.

I travel a lot and eat at great restaurants around the world, and Elisa in Vancouver really stood out. The atmosphere is fantastic — elegant but still comfortable. The servers were exceptional, attentive without being overbearing, and clearly know their craft. The Old Fashioned and whisky selection were excellent. They were even happy to make the Old Fashioned with bourbon for me, which I appreciated. For food, the highlight was the Wagyu King River ribeye. I ordered it Pittsburgh style and they absolutely nailed it — beautifully charred outside, incredibly soft and juicy inside. One of the better steaks I’ve had in a long time. Starters were great as well. The burrata was excellent, and the Caesar salad was very good, though I personally would have loved just a touch more seasoning. The picanha was also tender and full of flavor. Another thing worth mentioning: they were very welcoming to kids, which is rare for a high-end steakhouse and something families will really appreciate. Overall, a fantastic experience and a place I’d happily return to. Pro tip: if you can’t get a reservation, be polite to the front desk and take care of them — they work hard and it goes a long way.

We arrived at Elisa at 4:35pm for a 4:45pm reservation and were kindly asked to wait at the bar. While waiting, we were served complimentary bread — including a gluten-free option, which I really appreciated. We started with a few appetizers: oysters, tuna tartare, and scallops. The tuna tartare was delicious, and the scallops were perfectly cooked. For mains, we shared several items. The Hank’s tenderloin was the standout — incredibly tender and full of flavor. The picanha wagyu, unfortunately, was quite tough and chewy, while the 2oz King River Jewel wagyu was enjoyable but didn’t wow. The real surprise of the night was the chicken: outstanding, juicy, and packed with flavor, with truffle and herbs tucked under the skin. I would absolutely return just for the chicken and the Hank’s tenderloin. For dessert, the cheesecake was a different flavor than last time — more pumpkin spice and carrot-forward. While it was fine, I personally prefer their classic vanilla cheesecake and hope they bring that version back. Overall, a great experience with some real highlights and a few misses.
