What a (not so hidden) gem of a vegetarian/ vegan restaurant right here in Vancouver! We came here on a STAT Holiday during its happy hour and must have just missed the lunch rush (the reservations were sold out when we were trying to make one the day before), but it worked out perfectly as we were able to soak in the restaurant and all of its ambience in a quieter atmosphere with a window-side table. We got Do Chay Tea Cocktail & the Spicy Guava Marg that were on Happy Hour, and they were both soooo yummy we had to refrain ourselves from accidentally drinking them too fast 🤣 The appetizer, Uncle Hing’s Wings came out so fast, and we were so happy that the other reviews absolutely did not lead us astray: The. Hype. Is. Real 😭💯!!! The wings (though I would almost contend that the shape, since its oyster mushrooms, resemble less of wings than cauliflowers) were crispy and hot (temperature wise)- what I loved the most about them was that they didn’t lose the crunchy exterior even when they were coated in the delicious sweet and spicy sauce. We almost wanted to order another plate, but were so glad we didn’t because the entrees ended up being HUGE. LOL. They are generous with their portions!!! We got The Southern Style Dry Noodles & Sweet & Spicy (F)ish Fillets as our entrees, and while they were still good, I felt like they didn’t wow us the same way the wings did. The noodles were a bit under flavoured, while the fish fillets were a bit overflavoured, which has been my main criticism sometimes when it comes to vegetarian/ vegan dishes: the sauces become the star of the show, and they drown out any texture or flavour of the ingredients that make up the dishes). On the other hand, I so desperately wanted to like the noodles (we had a similar dish in Viet Family, another vegan Vietnamese restaurant in town, and it blew our minds), but felt like the sauce didn’t really permeate or carry the noodles enough. These are all just my subjective tastes though, as everything was still amazing!! The service (I think/ suspect our server was also the manager? There was only one person when we came in, and they made the drinks for us as well) was amazing- attentive, kind, and checked up on us throughout the meal. We would definitely return, and I wanted to come back for the wings alone, plus perhaps some other dishes we didn’t get to try (I’m looking at you, Satay Noodles 👀)

Khoi, who took my call and served us, was nothing short of superb. He remembered our call, my corn/wheat allergy, name, and went over the menu to ensure what I could eat. The food was absolutely delicious and made to perfection - served hot and flavours were so balanced! Thank you so much and will return!

Extremely friendly atmosphere and the Hostess/Server Jade exceeded all our expectations. Starters were great and the main course dishes were good. Restroom was extremely clean but then it had just opened so I was super lucky. Got crystal dumplings and coconut rice cakes. Had similar starters at other Thai restaurants whose portion size was significantly larger. For the main course, got lemongrass vermicelli and Black garlic eggplant. They could have added more spice, not just hot sauce. But again the server was super nice. Server got house sauce that had flavor and spice. Overall great restaurant that I would visit again to try other stuff.

We visited to celebrate a friend’s birthday and were blown away. The food was so incredible that I’m convinced even the most dedicated meat eaters would love these vegetarian dishes. The staff was attentive and friendly, checking in on us regularly. They even surprised my friend with a complimentary birthday dessert! We’ll definitely be back.

Not a vegetarian, but I’m officially a fan! The coconut rice cakes and crepes were so rich and full of flavor. It was a packed house, so service was a bit slow, but the food definitely speaks for itself
