This was our second visit to Botanist, and it was memorable. Manager Sandy made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived, which set the tone for a great evening. A special thank you to Abby, who went above and beyond to make us feel valued and ensure we had an exceptional dining experience. Her attentive and friendly service truly stood out. As for the food, the mini fish tacos were my absolute favorite, flavorful, fresh, and perfectly prepared. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the sourdough chicken, which was cooked beautifully. We also ordered the tagliatelle, and the generous amount of truffle made it a standout dish. Overall, the food was great, the service was outstanding, and Abby took great care of us throughout the evening. We look forward to returning again soon.

Came here for our anniversary and enjoyed a lovely experience for lunch! We had their lunch 2 course city set, and the squid appetizer was flavourful and tender. The salmon was perfectly cooked, not dry at all, and flaked apart easily without any resistance. The flank steak was an excellent medium rare, with good flavour and chew, though if you generally prefer more tender cuts of meat then flank steak might be a little tougher for your taste. A wonderful atmosphere paired with great service and excellent food! Glad to have had the chance to celebrate our anniversary here!

i was really impressed with the aesthetic and decor, they put a lot of attention to detail with sticking to the theme and making the atmosphere relevant to the theme and menu. i also loved how nice the menus where!! restaurants don’t typically invest much money into the physical menus but they were such good quality and so cute!!! the food was absolutely delicious. we got the lamb skewer. the hallumi starter and the pork belly starter… yum!!!!! for drinks i got a yummy strawberry cider and my husband got the tomato ceaser plant pot cocktail .. we didn’t really rate the cocktail , it was a lot expensive and the amount of actual drink you get is very little, mostly ice! that would be my only complaint as our overall experience was very impressive.

An Unforgettable Christmas Eve Experience We visited the Botanist at Fairmont Pacific Rim on Christmas Eve and were thoroughly impressed by the craftsmanship and hospitality that made our evening truly special. We opted for cocktails from the experimental experience menu, trying both the Ring of Fire and Earth’s Energy. These drinks were exceptional—beautifully presented, complex in flavor, and memorable in execution. They showcased the bar’s commitment to innovative mixology and elevated our evening beyond just a typical night out. What truly set this experience apart was the service. Amber, Roland, and the entire team were outstanding. Roland went above and beyond, not only guiding us through the drink menu but also taking the time to provide thoughtful recommendations for our Vancouver trip. His local insights helped us balance out our plans perfectly, making him feel more like a knowledgeable friend than just a bartender. The ambiance and attention to detail throughout the bar experience were first-rate, creating exactly the kind of sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere you’d hope for on Christmas Eve. One small note: the late-night bar menu doesn’t live up to the exceptional drink program. We’ll definitely return to experience their full culinary program alongside those incredible cocktails. I’d highly recommend the Botanist for anyone seeking expertly crafted cocktails and genuinely warm, knowledgeable service. We left with great memories and a perfect plan for the rest of our Vancouver visit, thanks to the team’s hospitality.

My family and I visited for dinner on a Saturday evening and had such amazing service. Our server and many on floor staff were attentive and checked in with us throughout the night. The manager (I think) even gifted the kiddos a teddy each as encouragement for us to keep bringing kids out for fancy dinners :) Our server shared how the head chef was from Mexico and leans heavily on preserved vegetables so you’ll see jars of veggies in their open concept kitchen. His speciality was duck breast and it definitely was tasty! But our favourite was the scallops. The drinks were tasty as well! Look forward to being back soon.
