My wife and I have dreamed of dining at this incredible restaurant for years. We often found ourselves browsing the menu online, imagining how amazing it would be to eat there. However, every time we tried to make a reservation, it felt like the tables vanished in an instant, leaving us feeling pretty disappointed. This year, though, I finally made it my goal to secure a reservation, and I successfully booked a table well in advance of our wedding anniversary. When the big day arrived, stepping into AnnaLena felt amazing. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and outstanding hospitality right from the start, making us feel very comfortable. The tasting menu was a revelation. Each of the eight courses was like a work of art—beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. From the first bite to the last, we were thrilled by the creativity and thoughtfulness behind each dish. Overall, this was an experience we’ll never forget. I can’t recommend AnnaLena enough for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion. The combination of incredible food and fantastic service makes it a top choice for creating lasting memories.
This was easily the best dining experience of my life! I took my wife here for her birthday and we splurged on the tasting menu upgrades (caviar and wagyu) and the curated wine pairings -- totally worth it and highly recommend. All of the staff were incredible and super professional and attentive, especially our host, Scott, and server and #1 star of our evening, Arianna. They immediately made us feel welcome and as if we had all known each other for ages -- truly Olympics-level customer service! We were especially impressed by how much Arianna knew about each wine she served to us; she detailed the origin, background, vineyard history, and flavor profile of every single wine as easily as if she were describing the day's weather. It was really, really cool to eat incredible food served by people like Arianna and Scott who are masters of their jobs. Thank you to everyone at AnnaLena who made my wife's birthday dinner a big hit! We can't wait to come back again soon.
It was indeed one of the best Michelin experience! If you have sweet tooth like me, you would definitely love their spring menu! Each course has well-balanced taste, mixed sweetness, savory and sourness, so flavorful and fulfilling. Didn’t expect to like their duck and beef striploin that much, it was so good that I would love to come back to try something different again!
Our experience at AnnaLena was very pleasant. It’s a one-star Michelin restaurant with the atmosphere of a super lux restaurant with some of the coolest servers ever. Everyone was so friendly, and when I had booked our reservation, I had listed why we were coming, and right as I mentioned my name, it felt like they all knew us as friends, it was super nice. They also introduced themselves to my girlfriend and were just so pleasant. The food was amazing. The Cheeseburger 2050 was such an interesting course; I love finger food so this was a massive treat! Everything just fit so well. Oh my gosh, and the little lemon jelly slices they give you as a palette cleanser- just incredible, I could eat 10 of those things! The pasta was super rich and creamy, and was paired with a mushroom broth that was super amazing!! It was all paired with a wine our server recommended, it balanced everything out perfectly during our meal and became a favourite wine of ours. The star of the show for me was the tenderloin, my gosh the yellow sauce they include was so good, and the meat was tender, juicy, and flavourful. We were also served a prawn dish with cabbage, mussels, and smoked lobster bisque- it was so good I forgot to take a picture, but I promise I licked the plate clean it was that good. I personally didn’t understand the spring roll they served- sort of tasted like a regular spring roll (maybe it’s cause I eat a lot of spring rolls haha). But no, don’t let a spring roll get in the way of an incredibly well put together ever changing dining service. From the first step in to the last step out, we had the most amazing service and incredible food. Absolutely amazing restaurant, it’s a MUST TRY if you’re in Vancouver!!!!
My partner and I had a wonderful birthday dinner at AnnaLena while visiting Vancouver this past week. Immediately upon being seated, there was a certain cool vibe about the place that made it feel warm and inviting. Every course and wine pairing was expertly explained, and brought us on a really fun journey of different flavours. The highlight was definitely the service, it was top notch and some of the best we’ve ever had. A unique aspect of the evening was that every member of the staff came by our table at least once to present a dish or wine pairing, it was a nice touch. Highly recommend AnnaLena if you’re in the Vancouver area and looking for a sophisticated, delicious, and fun dining experience.
