Without a doubt, Upper Barrakka Gardens offers the best views in Valletta; it is a truly magnificent location. The panorama of the Grand Harbour is breathtaking. There are plenty of benches and even a bar on-site, making it a very comfortable spot to relax and linger for a while. A must-visit destination for anyone in Malta!
This place is magical. I could freely say that this is the most beautiful place in Valletta and with the most beautiful view. I was here 3 times in 2 days and it is really worth coming. The third time I finally saw the cannon firing. The place is perfectly arranged, with lots of flowers, greenery, a fountain, benches for resting, and this whole place will fascinate you. Here you can sit on the benches in the park and enjoy. On the other benches you can sit and enjoy the view of the Three Cities. The place is very colorful and beautiful. There are many tourists. At 4 pm you can watch the cannons being fired, but expect a lot of crowds, as this is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Valletta. You can take great photos from here. If you are in Valletta, don't miss this place.
Stunning views – Panoramic of the Grand Harbour, the Three Cities (Vittoriosa, Senglea, Cospicua), and Fort St. Angelo. · Saluting Battery – The famous cannons fire daily at 12:00 and 16:00 (a historic tradition). · Free entry – Open to everyone, no ticket needed. · Lift access – A modern elevator connects the gardens down to the waterfront (Lascaris Wharf) for a small fee. · Central location – Right next to the capital Valletta, close to St. John's Co-Cathedral, Republic Street, and other major sights
This place is beautiful, not sure why it took me so long to find it but definitely a must. They have a cannon show at 12pm and 4pm everyday which we conveniently missed both times we were there despite being in the vicinity. The Xmas markets were on at the time so it was a pleasant atmosphere. Parking nearby in the car park but spaces are small.
This is a must-visit spot in Valletta. If it's sunny, your photos will be absolutely incredible. It’s a very pleasant and beautiful place. There is also a café where you can grab a coffee (which is quite good) and a quick snack. Also, a friendly girl takes free photos, which is very nice. If you plan to be there around 12:00 or 16:00, you will be able to see the traditional cannon salute from the lower terrace (Saluting Battery). This adds a special flavor to this place!
