We made a fairly last minute reservation at this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. The service was great, the atmosphere was nice and we were seated in a cozy corner within the stone walls. The food itself was delicious and beautifully plated. The vegetarian option was very good as well. We will be back when we visit Valletta again in the future. That Michelin mention was well deserved!
We tried the degustation menus at Guze Bistro — “Sea” for my girlfriend and “Land” for myself. Overall, it was a pleasant and well structured dining experience. The amuse-bouches were decent, followed by the first starters: Sea Bass for the Sea menu and Lasagne for the Land. Both were fine, though not particularly memorable. The real highlights of the evening were definitely the pasta courses — Grey Mullet Bottarga and Black Pig. Both were full of flavor and easily the stars of the table. For the main courses, we had meagre and rabbit. While both were well executed, we personally enjoyed the meagre more. The meal ended nicely with the Dessert Trio, which was a thoughtful and satisfying finish. A good experience overall, with some standout dishes and a few courses that could be elevated further.
Visited this lovely restaurant in Valletta and can wholeheartedly recommend it. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and our waiter was exceptionally polite, explaining every dish in detail and taking our dietary restrictions into full account. The food was truly amazing—beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. Thank you for making our birthday dinner so special.
My never and I reserved at this small boutique Micheline star restaurant and are SO glad we did. A lovely room. The manager and servers were incredible. The food delicious. My wife had the vegetarian options which were unique and amazing. Of note she loved the Sweet Potato Soufleé and celeriac. I had the Octopus salad and Lamb rump with sweetbreads. Both fantastic. Would heartily recommend this gem tucked away from the maddening tourist strips of Valletta.
Everything was pretty good to excellent. Loved our pasta dishes, while meats, veggies and dessert were solid. Disappointed that beverage menu only has wine, no cocktails or beer. Good service, feels like you’re in someone’s fancy living room.
