We had a fantastic lunch at Trattoria da Pippo. This place definitely needs a reservation, because it is a small cozy place that is common for locals. It is not just a restaurant, but a whole experience — it feels like being at home and having a small celebration at the same time. While we waited only five minutes for our table, we were welcomed with prosecco. To start, we received olives and beef ragù. Then we had two generous dishes- supposedly “small portions” for four people - of lobster ravioli and seafood linguine. Both were fantastic, and the shrimp tasted incredibly fresh. After that, we had veal steak with lemon sauce, which was also very good. Later, they played music and several tables, including ours, started dancing. The waiters and the restaurant owner were extremely friendly and welcoming; they make you feel as if you have known them for a long time. The walls are full of pictures of the team with celebrities, which adds to the special atmosphere. Yeah, it was an unforgettable lunch with great food, warm hospitality, and a wonderful vibe. Highly recommended!

The most amazing seafood pasta I ever had! 10/10 recommend! The staff and the ambience were also top notch.

This was one of my favourite meals on our trip to Malta! The whole experience was so fun and everything was delicious. We did not realize this before going but everything is served family style which I love! When we first sat down, we were the first people in after they opened for lunch and our server told us that bread would be just a second, it was being delivered fresh from the bakery. Sure enough, a minute later a man came in with the most delicious smelling bread. When it was put on the table it was still hot! Our server made lots of delicious recommendations and we ended up getting lobster ravioli and cacio e pepe ravioli, both were amazing. Dessert was also delicious. I highly recommend, just make sure you make a reservation because there were lots of people who tried to come in that were turned away, it filled up very quickly!

This place was recommended and I had booked well in advance. So looking forward to it as I was told it was a great experience with tasting menus. They had forgotten my booking and hurriedly set up a table as they were fully booked. Not given a menu and felt rushed to eat and leave.ordered wine but not given an ice bucket but every other table was given one. Not the experience I was expecting as food was rushed and we were in and out in under an hour despite having ordered gins/ bottle of wine and would have spent more if service was better.

The cacio e Pepe ravioli was one of the nicest things I've ever eaten, by far the best food we had in Malta! Staff were so friendly too.
