The hostel is spacious and in a great location. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good too :) But the rooms could use some improvements. There are no small shelf or support space for personal items like a phone, charger, or water bottle (if you’re on the top bunk that makes a huge difference) and no curtains around the beds (it’s important when you’re sharing a room with mixed genders and/or needing a bit more privacy and comfort at times). Apart from that, it was a good experience!

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, good location and feels safe. There are enough showers for everyone and it’s generally clean. The luggage storage is secure as they give you a tag to check it’s the right one, and keep the room locked which not all hostels do. It’s relatively quiet at night. WiFi works generally well. There’s a decent lobby area to sit whilst people are checking in the queue. Cons: The lockers in the room under the beds… they are so squeaky and metallic so even trying to be quiet you are waking everyone up just to get something out. The bunks are placed so close together that there’s barely room to access your things in your locker without pulling everything out to move to the main floor (and hence create more noise!) Another thing would be that the curtains advertised in images are sort of pointless, as it’s only one one side whilst up to 2 more sides of your bed are left exposed and they’re not exactly faced away from the main traffic eg right by the door. Most of the time the toilet and bathrooms were well maintained but sometimes ran out of toilet paper. The doors were also squeaky so if you have a room near them then you’ll hear every time someone enters/exits.

The hostel is modern, comfortable and fresh, with new furniture, excellent amenities and lovely entertainment. In fact, the Purple Nest gives more than many hotels. The young people who work there are the best and everything from check in to check out is well organized. There is a well equipped kitchen with everything you need, laundry room and a hidden garden on the first floor. We stayed in a double room with our own bathroom, which was very clean and spacious. The hostel has a perfect location near the old city and Turia park, and direct transport to the beaches, Oceanografic, train station and the airport. There is a supermarket Consum 5 min walking distance. We enjoyed our stay in the Purple nest hostel and I will recommend this place to everyone.

I have just stayed at Purple Nest for 4 days and I can say that this is an amazing hostel. From checking in to checking out the customer service was fantastic. Alejandro, Lydia Sebas as well as a few others that work there were very friendly and helpful. The mixed dorm I stayed in couldn't of been better I had a beautiful balcony view and space for my belongings, it was very clean throughout the hostel especially the bathrooms. I was fortunate enough to of met some great people on my stay. I travel solo so that's always a plus when people are friendly. I highly recommend anyone going to Valencia to check this place out great price as well and very central located. Thank you again and I would definitely stay here again. 🤟

Basically, the hostel is in a very good location in the city, available at a very good price. The only problem we had with the room was that the walls are thin, so you can hear everything from the corridor. It's not good to wake up at 4:30 in the morning to a girl crying and howling. The people there don't care about each other. The breakfast was delicious. The staff is nice.
