Reviews from Google
I went during work hours on a weekday, so there was really no people, however the experience was extremely fun. From the shadow puppets room to the creative rooms on the second floor, it was simply a peaceful, relaxing and quiet experience. Backpacks were allowed despite what another review said, but maybe it is because there was no one there, and also despite what another review said, it was free. What I mostly liked is that you could touch the art, unlike what I expected for art galleries, we were allowed to play instruments, draw with chalk, build with kids blocks, of course for a grown man it was kind of embarassing, but it was very enjoyable. (P.S the rooms arent that dark I just edited it that way for my own enjoyment).
I recently visited the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery and had a great experience. The exhibitions were thought-provoking and very informative, encouraging visitors to imagine beyond conventional thinking. The artwork challenges perspectives and invites deeper reflection about society, creativity, and modern ideas. The gallery space is well curated and creates a calm environment to explore contemporary art at your own pace. The staff were welcoming and helpful, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Overall, it was an inspiring and intellectually engaging experience that I would recommend to anyone interested in contemporary art and new ideas.
Cool and quick exhibition to check it when near the harbour front. Free admission. Some interactive activities, mostly for kids though. Recommend!
Great building and so much space for art exhibitions but it’s not much to see or maybe I was there at slow times. Only one room I like with many fountains ⛲️ and large display of art work with nature. ✅free admission/ or donation
I wasn’t happy with my experience at the Power Plant Gallery in Toronto. Although it says admission is “free,” you’re actually prompted to choose an amount like $5, $10, or more. You also can’t just walk in — a check-in is required, backpacks aren’t allowed (though you can leave them under a table at the entrance), and you’re asked questions like where you’re from and whether you can understand the staff. I ended up skipping the visit. I love supporting local artists, but this felt awkward and transactional.
