The location is great if you’re going to a show at History and the rooftop restaurant is pretty with nice views but that’s pretty much where my positives end. First, the bed. You get one thin “duvet” and that’s it. Ours had multiple stains that looked like blood. The pillows were way too soft for my liking. I woke up both mornings with bad lower back and neck pain. The bathrooms are tiny and the shower ran out of hot water by the time I finished my shower and my friend started hers. Housekeeping never came to attend to our room at all. I had asked if they could come after 12pm because we were going to be heading out for the day. We arrived back at midnight that night to find it had not been done. One other thing to note (not the hotels fault but something to keep in mind) is that there are street cars that go by right outside the windows and they are very loud. My friend barely slept while we were there. Luckily I had ear plugs. For $600/night, I probably won’t stay here again.

Amazing experience! Such a nice hotel with wonderful staff. Isha at the front desk was very helpful and kind. My partner and I were exhausted from a long drive, so I greatly appreciated her helping us bring our luggage from the parking lot behind the hotel street. Breakfast and dinner at the rooftop were amazing as well. Highly recommended!

I had a really nice stay here. The Bistro was closed because of construction, which was a little disappointing, but the food was still great in the Rooftop restaurant and the overall experience was comfortable. Check-in was smooth, and I appreciated being given a quiet room. That made the stay much more relaxing. The team was welcoming and attentive, and Isha at the front desk in particular was very helpful. I always enjoy coming here, and this visit was another good reminder of why.

We chose the Tower floor at The Broadview Hotel for our 12 person wedding, and it was a great fit for an intimate celebration. The location is very convenient, right between downtown and the east end, making it easy for our families to get to. We also booked a couple of hotel rooms for ourselves and the wedding party. The Corner Room was perfect for getting ready and for pre ceremony photos, while the Deluxe Rooms were comfortable for other couples in the group. The Tower space comfortably hosted both our ceremony and dinner. We were initially concerned about lighting, but on a sunny day the room really shines. The large windows bring in beautiful natural light, especially around sunset, and the exposed brick and chandeliers add a warm, rustic feel. The hotel has a charming vintage vibe, with thoughtful touches like the record player in the rooms. The second floor balcony and nearby streetcar line made for some classic Toronto photo opportunities, and the surrounding neighbourhood has plenty of great spots for coffee and brunch. The catering was excellent, and the staff were friendly, professional, and accommodating throughout. They handled dietary needs, including gluten free, vegetarian, and halal options, without any issues.

Very disappointed regarding my recent experience at the rooftop restaurant at The Broadview Hotel. I had a reservation for 1:15 p.m. and called ahead to let your staff know that we would be arriving late due to a highway closure. During that call, I advised that our estimated arrival time would be approximately 1:30 p.m. At no point during the conversation was I informed that the kitchen would be closing and that food service would no longer be available upon our arrival. After travelling for over an hour and a half to visit the pop up flower market and enjoy brunch afterward, this lack of communication was extremely frustrating. When we arrived, we were left standing at the hostess stand and were ignored until a passing server pointed out that we were waiting to be seated. Once we were finally acknowledged, we were informed that we could only order drinks because the kitchen had closed until 4:00 p.m. for dinner service. We asked to speak with a manager to see whether it would be possible to place a food order quickly, especially since we could clearly see multiple plates of food still coming out of the kitchen. However, we were simply told that it was not possible, with no effort made to accommodate us or acknowledge the inconvenience caused. The overall experience demonstrated a serious lack of communication and customer service. Had we been informed during our phone call that the kitchen would be closed upon our arrival, we would have made alternate plans instead of driving such a long distance expecting to have brunch. This experience was very disappointing, particularly given the reputation of your establishment. I hope you will review this situation with your staff to ensure better communication and guest service moving Very disappointed regarding my recent experience at the rooftop restaurant at The Broadview Hotel.
