My stay at the Shangri-La Toronto was outstanding from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. The staff consistently provided exceptional service and made every effort to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel is beautifully designed, with an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. My room was immaculate, spacious, and thoughtfully appointed, with luxurious finishes and a very comfortable bed. Every detail reflected the high standards that Shangri-La is known for. The location is also excellent, making it easy to explore downtown Toronto while enjoying a peaceful and refined retreat at the end of the day. What impressed me most was the level of care and attention provided by the team. Every interaction was friendly, professional, and personalized. They provide pillow options and weighted blankets and even specialty bath products. This was truly a five-star experience, and I would highly recommend the Shangri-La Toronto to anyone looking for luxury, comfort, and exceptional service. I look forward to returning on my next visit to the city.
Had a wonderful experience at Shangri-La Toronto. The hotel has a very elegant and relaxing atmosphere with top-quality service from the moment you enter. Rooms were luxurious, clean, and extremely comfortable. Staff was polite, attentive, and made the stay feel special. The location is also perfect and everything about the experience felt premium. Definitely a great place to stay in Toronto.
Dear Management team, I am writing to share my recent experience at Shangri-la Toronto during the Cathy Pacific inspired high tea on March 29, which I attended to celebrate a friend's birthday. while the ambiance was elegant and enjoyable-with live piano music and seating near the firepalce-the quality of the food was deeply disappointing and did not meet the expecatations associated with your establishment. The steamed items were served cold upon arrival. After bring this to the attention of staff and return the items, it was send back still bold, not even lukewarm. This reaised concerns about the freshness and handling of the dim sum food. I was further surprised to be informed that these items were not intended to be eaten hot. Additionally, the scones were excessively dry and crumbly, detracting from what should have been a highlight of the high tea experience. Under different circumstances, I would have returned the entire tower of food. However, I chose not to disrupt my friend's birthday celebration. Give the reputation of Shangri-La Toront as a 5 star hotel, I expected a much higher standard of food quality and preparation. My portion of the bill exceeded $200, which I found difficult to justify in light of the experience. I felt it was important to share this feedback. I hope it will be taken constructively to improve and maintain the standards yur guest expect. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Spent the weekend of Jan 30 to Feb 1, 2026. The Shangri-La hotel is a dyanamite place to stay. We had a fantastic time. The hotel was outstanding from checking in. (Andre at the desk was great) From a spacious room, to the pool, hot tub and the dry sauna, everything falls into place. It's a stop you would like to goto but don't want to leave. The staff was excellent, but most of all the lounge with a live band was impressive. My wife and I ended up dancing. A five plus to the management and staff.
I was very disappointed with my stay, especially given that this hotel is marketed as a five-star property. The mattress in our original room was visibly deteriorating and had multiple stains. This is not what I expect at this level. I do want to acknowledge that the staff was kind and professional. Once we reported the issue, they promptly moved us to a different room, which I appreciated. However, it was still difficult to feel comfortable knowing that some rooms are clearly not being maintained to a five-star standard. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. I typically stay at another five-star hotel in Toronto and decided to try something new this time. That choice didn’t work out, and I left feeling very dissatisfied with the overall condition of the hotel.
