I took my mom to Canoe for her Birthday in December. It was absolutely a phenomenal experience. I booked an early time as their website said window seats fill up quick. I also made sure to indicate it was her birthday on the booking. They had a cute little sign on the table for her. The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. When they brought the food to the table the explained the plate. The portion sizes were perfect. It's quality over quality at this place and after reading some of the other reviews it was clear some people didn't bother to review the menu or site before booking. An appetizer and entree filled us up and we split a desert. It was slightly more casual than I expected but again that ranged from table to table. Some tables were in suit and tie and some had people with hoodies. That didn't affect my dining experience though. Overall HIGHLY recommend to treat yourself or someone else.

Outstanding restaurant for an enchanting evening. The view is simply phenomenal. A smorgasbord for the senses. Michelle, our server, expertly blended professionalism with approachability. Hats off to her. The food was fine but nothing knocked our socks off, although there was a traditional pie dessert that was sublime. The lamb and halibut were well prepared but not exceptional. That said I would return to Canoe. On balance it is a restaurant you do not want to miss.

Visited for Winterlicious lunch. The view was stunning. We're lucky that we got a standard seat next to the window with the unbeatable view. The food was properly cooked but not impressive. I liked the dessert very much but the portion was tiny. The restaurant was a bit noisy for me but it's quite standard for this kind of restaurant. The service was professional but a bit cold. Overall a great experience but it's quite pricey. I guess we paid extra for the view.

Kristen in the front and Jesús at the table were extremely helpful as the rest of the staff. I came here with family (3 adults, myself, and a toddler) They were accommodating, the food was delicious. I came here as a celebration for my graduation, and they had customized notes and all staff had known about it and congratulated me. It's my family's first time in Toronto, and they loved it here.

What a phenomenal way to spend my 40th Birthday with my family. They took me there as a surprise , based around an inside joke about a canoe, I didn’t know this place existed! From the moment you exit from the lift, you know this place is different. Upon entering the staff were all smiles and showed they loved being there and made us feel welcome. Had what I think was the best table in the house, amazing views of the islands, CN tower and west Toronto! Our server Kevin S. was amazing, explaining how the dishes we picked would be presented and I don’t remember my wine glass ever being empty! The food was sublime, I had the scallop followed by the sirloin! While I didn’t have desert, they brought me a little something anyway, and despite not getting the 2oz Remi Martin Louis VIII after dinner (maybe I’ll have that for my 50th bday), the 20 year old port was the perfected ending! Thanks to all the staff at canoe who made this special day even more memorable! I would recommend this place to all!
