My stay at the Muji hotel in Ginza was so worth it! Not only are the rooms decently sized (especially for Tokyo), the amenities, design and layout is very “Muji”. The location is also very convenient. You’re steps away from train/bus connectivity. And you’re right next to some amazing shopping areas! You can find everything, from luxury stores to vintage shopping here. It’s especially convenient if you’re visiting towards the end (or very beginning) of your trip because you can get almost anything you need from the store downstairs. I ended up buying new luggage, stocking up on my favorite Muji essentials and snacks, and even got souvenirs for folks back home. I also want to call out Cody (Koudai) for exceptional service. They had my luggage that I dropped off before check-in, ready in my room once I was able to check-in to the room. Him and Tomoka even helped me ship out postcards on my very last day when I had to rush out to catch my flight. I’d love to stay here again when I’m back! For anyone wondering why anyone would want to stay at a “store related hotel?” I hope this review will be helpful!
This an amazing hotel. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff. The rooms are unique and all the produces are from the Muji store that you are part of. Evening drinks is a lovely touch, with nibbles, soups and noodles. The location is great for getting around it is just a quick walk to trains, metro etc and Toyko station is not far. As it is mainly a shopping area it is quiet in the mornings and evenings.
This hotel is conveniently located in Ginza. I love the design and esthetics of the room, surprisingly spacious for two. A plus on the bedding as it was one of our more comfortable sleeps in Japan! Loved the extra amenities that came with the room as well (who doesn'tlive Muji!), don't forget about the bottled oolong tea in the mini fridge! Guests also have access to the lounge every evening for complimentary snacks and drinks. We didn't pick the breakfast option as we wanted to explore around the area. The only negative about the room was the slight drainage odor in the bathroom when you first enter the bathroom. The water also doesn't drain that well if you keep the sink tap running. Overall, a minor bearable negative to the otherwise positive stay. Would definitely pick this hotel again when I'm back in Tokyo!
We had a wonderful 2 nights stay at Muji hotel Ginza. The location was unbeatable - Muji store right downstairs and Uniqlo, GU and loft just a stone’s throw away. The room was so comfortable and cozy, with lots of amenities for you to take home. The pyjamas were so comfortable we wanted to buy a set from the Muji store. You could take home the slippers as well. The price was steep but overall it felt like a good indulgence. It was a great experience that I highly recommend!
If you stay here you need to appreciate the gimmick. It is mostly tourists in this hotel, since it's all about the Muji brand. You will certainly get a delightful Muji experience here including an essential oil vaporizer in your room. It made me smile. The breakfast is inconveniently late and was below average. Otherwise I recommend this hotel to tourists since it is fun and entertaining. I paid $250//night and would not have accepted $400/night for this experience.
