I knew it would be good, but this place was more than satisfactory! First of all, staff here is so nice and helpful, offers top-notch hospitality and the location is what you would dream of to stay in Tokyo with this cost. The facilities were beyond my expectations - My bed was so confy, the female dorm was clean and quiet and even the common space gave me a good vibe. If you're solo in Tokyo, this is as great and promising as you could get!

This place is wonderful! I love this hostel! The location was walking distances about 3 blocks from the train. The staff, the entire atmosphere, the coffee shop, the outside space, the breakfast were all awesome. Unfortunately only stayed one night don't recall the beds comfort there was a heavy snorer in my room. Definitely staying here the next time I visit Tokyo. Highly recommend!

Really excellent. Has character. Thoughtfully appointed. Clean. Convenient. Super good staff. Very delicious latte (serious coffee!) and breakfast. Cool industrial furniture. Big variety of rooms - choose carefully what you want. Take advantage of the offerings and extras!

We loved this hostel!! Stayed in a private room for 6 nights, and while the price wasn’t the cheapest (it’s Tokyo after all), I couldn’t complain about the service of the staff, cleanliness of the room, and overall vibe/energy of the whole place. My partner loved the coffee downstairs at the cafe and the fact that it was close to all the convenience stores (Lawson, 7-11, family mart). Toilets/showers were cleaned everyday and was spotless. While the location wasn’t as close to the city as others, we actually preferred the quieter suburb. It’s sooo close to train stations and only about 12-14 minutes away from Ueno station (which takes you straight to the airport). Overall, we would highly recommend!

⭐ Rating: 2/5 Strict check-in rule You absolutely must check in before 11 PM—otherwise, you lose your night’s stay and payment. I’ve never seen a rule like this at any hotel or hostel anywhere. The room: industrial vibe ≠ dirty feeling We booked a private room with bunk beds, but no private bathroom (the listing was super vague about this). The floor is just bare concrete and honestly looked kind of dirty. Exposed pipes everywhere—felt more like a budget hostel in Europe than Japan. Also, there was this weird stuffy smell in the sleeping area, like it didn’t have proper ventilation. WiFi is awful The WiFi in the room was super weak. Kept disconnecting or wouldn’t connect at all. Don’t expect to get any work done or even scroll through videos smoothly. Mixed-gender area The sleeping area is mixed-gender, so you’ll run into random guys on the way to the bathroom or shower. Not ideal if you value a bit more privacy. Showers They’re private stalls that lock, and the wet/dry separation works okay. But cleanliness was just average—not what you’d expect from Japan. Not worth the price We stayed during peak season and paid way more than this place deserves. For the same price, we could’ve booked a much nicer hotel. Totally not worth it for a hostel. Super noisy at night There’s a restaurant/bar on the 1st floor and basement. They play music until almost midnight—and you can hear everything clearly in your room. Impossible to sleep early. I honestly don’t get how this place has a 4.5 rating. Whether you're looking for a good night’s sleep, decent WiFi, a social vibe, or a cool bar—none of it really works here. If you want a clean, quiet, good-value stay, I’d look elsewhere.
