The food at Sheila was genuinely excellent. Every dish we ordered was delicious and the quality of the cooking was at a true fine-dining level. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t match the quality of the food. The restaurant feels too large, crowded, and chaotic. Tables are packed very close together, there is constant movement around the room, and the atmosphere lacks the comfort and attention to detail I would expect from a restaurant at this price point. We were initially seated at the bar directly in front of the staff preparing starters. It was noisy, messy, and not particularly pleasant to watch. To make matters worse, we were seated next to the kitchen bell, which was ringing constantly and was so loud that we eventually asked to move. We were then moved to a regular table, but it felt like we had entered a completely different restaurant — more of a busy brasserie than a fine-dining venue. Service was disappointing throughout the evening. No one explained the dishes when they were served, and we were repeatedly rushed to place our order. The waitress kept asking whether we had received the next dish, something I would expect the service team to manage themselves. At one point, I told her we planned to step outside for a smoke after the next course. When we returned, the following dish had already been delivered and was sitting on the table getting cold. There was also a private dining room next to us, and it felt as though all of the staff’s attention was focused there, with servers constantly rushing food in and out while the rest of the restaurant received less attention. To top it all off, there was a mistake on our bill and we were charged twice for the most expensive dish we ordered. In summary: outstanding food, but the service, atmosphere, and overall dining experience fell well below the standard the kitchen deserves.

Extremely disappointing and honestly a bit embarrassing. I’ll start by saying that the food itself was tasty, so this is not about the quality of the dishes. The issue was the overall experience, which was an absolute mess — especially considering we came to celebrate a birthday and spent over 2,000 shekels for four people. Dishes arrived completely out of order. A simple lettuce salad took around an hour to arrive, by which point we had already finished all appetisers. A cocktail we ordered also took over an hour, and we had to chase it multiple times. This wasn’t a slight delay — it genuinely took that long. What made the experience even worse was the service from one staff member. After already asking our own waitress about the missing salad and cocktail after 30–40 minutes, we managed to catch another waitress and asked her for help. Her response was, “I don’t care, I’m not your waitress.” - said while rolling her eyes. For a restaurant positioned at this level, that kind of attitude is completely unacceptable. To be fair, when we told our actual waitress what happened, she really did try to improve the situation. She brought us free shots and seemed to genuinely care, which we appreciated. The problem is that the restaurant felt clearly understaffed, and by that point the experience had already been soured. Again, the food was good, but the service, timing, and organisation were far below what you would expect from a restaurant at this price point. For a birthday celebration and a bill of over 2,000 shekels for four people, the overall experience was extremely disappointing.

For a city as diverse and interesting as Tel Aviv, the food is good, but not the best. 7/10. Food is the only thing that saves the experience, as the service is unfortunately lacking. My waiter changed three times, and not a single one asked whether everything was okay. The waiter was very pushy with his own recommendations and tried to impose his preferred menu direction, despite the fact that we are well-versed in food.

⸻ The food was overall very good. We followed the waiter’s recommendations and they definitely didn’t disappoint. The Spanish carpaccio was incredible, and the meat dish was excellent as well. The only letdown was the gnocchi, it arrived lukewarm (almost cold) both times, which took away from the experience. Service-wise, the dishes came out a bit too quickly, so we ended up with too many plates on the table at once and no real pacing between courses, which felt a bit rushed. On the bright side, the malabi was delicious, and they even sent us another dessert on the house, which was a really nice touch.

Wow wow wow. Second time in this amazing restaurant and can’t explain how much we enjoyed it! The food is on a different level, the place is designed beautifully and the atmosphere is romantic and high end. The see ice was good and great recommendations from the bartender and sommelier. The only down side is that you need to pay a lot for this incredible experience. Highly recommended for a special occasion!!
