Was a late Sunday afternoon. Ordered via the app. Got the food in less than 4 minutes. Chickens were crispy outside and juicy inside. Opted for chilli sauce instead of garlic as I was meeting some people after. Overall, solid experience and halal chicken option in the City. Thank you
Disappointing experience overall. I won’t be coming back, nor would I recommend this branch to others. I visited the new El Jannah branch on Castlereagh Street in Sydney CBD around 11:30am today, hoping to enjoy a comfortable dine-in lunch before the midday rush. I walked roughly 500 metres from my office and initially thought the place looked modern and clean. However, I quickly noticed there were only a handful of dine-in tables available. At the time, there were only a few customers inside, so I ordered the “El Jannah Half Chicken Deluxe Meal” for "Dine-In" at $21.95. Paying was already inconvenient, they couldn’t provide change for $25 cash, and they also don’t accept AMEX. Luckily, I had my debit card with me. When my order number was called, I was surprised that my dine-in meal was packed in a paper takeaway bag (such a waste of paper). I then tried to find a seat, but every table was occupied by solo diners unwilling to share. After wasting about 25 minutes of my lunch break walking to and from the restaurant, I ended up bringing the food back to my office. Unfortunately, the experience got worse when I unpacked the meal and realised they forgot to include the Lebanese bread (a key part of the meal), especially with the garlic sauce. For a $21.95 meal, missing an essential item is pretty UNACCEPTABLE. Trying to put the experience aside, I finally ate their “legendary” charcoal chicken. While the flavour was decent, I found the chicken quite dry. Overall, poor dine-in setup, inconvenient payment options, missing items, and an underwhelming meal made this a very disappointing first visit, and my last on this branch.
I ordered a 1/4 chicken meal and when I got home I discovered my box was just full of fries. Very disappointed as I did not get to try the chicken you are known for. Please have your staff check more closely for the accuracy of orders.
I had a great experience with the food and service. The host (Ahnab) was great and made sure I was fully satisfied with everything. I’ll come back for sure!
First day opening but it seemed not quite ready yet. The chicken was overcooked and tasted bitter, the salad came without sauce, and the fries were still uncooked. Hopefully things improve once the team settles in.
