I had a great experience at Kajsa’s Fisk. The restaurant is located in the basement level of a small shopping gallery together with a very interesting local market, with several small shops selling local products. The place itself is already worth visiting. I tried the fish soup, and it was absolutely delicious. Very flavorful and well balanced. The portion is generous — it works perfectly as a starter but can easily be a main dish as well. It feels like a place that is popular with locals, which is always a very good sign. The atmosphere is relaxed and interesting. Definitely worth visiting — not only for the basement market and local shops, but also for the restaurant itself. Fantastic food.
I understand the hype of the fish soup. Its hot and really good and they dont skimp on the seafood! For tourists like me who don't know, the fish soup is REFILLABLE. The next portion is a bit smaller but its good and hot and they have free bread and fresh crispy salad near the counter. You have to send your old bowl nearby the counter for them to give you a new one. Grilled salmon is soft, the smoked salmon sandwich has a lot of salmon I feel like it needs more bread but it's good! And the salmon cakes are unique and soft. It has a side of fresh shrimps too. The mashed potatoes are bland but I think you have to salt it to your taste. The line moves fast. Theres tables and chairs. Highly recommend the fish soup.
Don’t miss out on this gem of a restaurant in Stockholm! Try the fish soup — it is refillable and very very tasty. The best fish soup in Stockholm by far. You can also get unlimited salad and bread which is put out by a self-serve table. We also had the fried herring which came with mashed potatoes - it was light and so delicious. Overall, the restaurant is inexpensive but the quality amazing. You order at the counter and they bring food to you (apart from the fish soup which you take at the counter). The service was friendly and efficient. We went on a weekday at 2pm and there was no wait time. We would definitely go back!
Kajsas Fisk – A Must-Visit for the Best Fish Soup in Stockholm Kajsas Fisk came highly recommended by multiple people, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The fish soup is the star of the show: rich, flavorful, and easily one of the best dishes I had in Stockholm. It’s a must-have and worth the visit on its own. The staff is friendly and efficient, and while the seating is a bit tight, it’s well-organized and keeps things moving smoothly. Even if there’s a line, it’s definitely worth the wait. If there’s one place you should try while in Stockholm, this is it. Simple, delicious, and unforgettable.
OMG. Best food we had in our 4 days in Stockholm! EXCELLENT taste, reasonable prices, friendly staff, fast service... Also you get complementary fresh tap water, salad with 2 dressings, breads and butter. Cost benefit is to the roof. We paid 295 for 2 to eat WELL. Congratulations to everyone involved on this amazing place. Please don't change anything!
