I have been wanting to try Frantzen for several years now, and it did not disappoint! Everything was incredible. The welcoming staff sets the tone immediately. The living room for Aperitivo is so beautiful and warm, that makes it a perfect start before the main dining room. I love a good counter top dinner, and everything was super delicious.
Fantastic experience at Frantzen. I had been to the sister restaurant Zen in Singapore several years prior and the concept there was quite similar, with the focus being on creating an interactive dining experience. One of our favourite parts about Frantzen was being shown the prep kitchen (which was absolutely spotless!), and the interaction with staff which reflected their pride in working for this institution. It is also clear that Frantzen puts effort into developing their people (all servers are certified sommeliers), and the knowledge and pride that every individual put into their craft made the dining experience so much more wholesome. Food-wise, the taste was a bit salty for my palette, but there were standout dishes like the crayfish and the French toast. Ambience-wise, it was a lot more relaxed than other Michelin restaurants I’ve visited. This being said, servers were attentive to diners’ needs - my husband and I joked that two seconds after we’d leave the table to visit the washroom, someone would come by and push our chairs in/ provide a fresh napkin. Frantzen manages to achieve a high level of attention to detail while ensuring that the atmosphere is natural and not stilted. What left the most lasting impression - and something that I’ve never experienced at Michelin restaurants prior - was the feeling of generosity that Frantzen left us with. For instance, they topped up my husband’s champagne and my drinks without charging for extra glasses, they had a dish which they paired with drinks in the menu, and they topped up our dessert / coffee. This left us with a feeling of abundance, and given the premium price that one pays for such experiences, made us feel that every kronor spent there was worth it. Kudos to the team at Frantzen for seamless execution, and we hope to be back in the future.
Just an amazing experience! The atmosphere and food is just perfect! The team is full of professionals. The French toast and langoustin were my favorites.
Frantzén delivers an unforgettable fine dining experience in Stockholm, proudly holding three Michelin stars for its world-class excellence. The multi-course tasting menu showcases exquisite Nordic ingredients through precise techniques influenced by French and Japanese cuisines, keeping flavours pure and balanced. From the warm welcome to the lingering final courses in the lounge, the evening unfolds like a seamless performance. Dining moves fluidly between spaces: intimate snacks upfront, dynamic counter seating by the open kitchen, and a relaxed finish upstairs, adding real theatre to the night. Dishes are visually stunning yet flavour-forward, with highlights like tender seafood and innovative vegetable preparations that linger in memory. Though it demands a serious commitment of time and budget, Frantzén justifies every moment as a pinnacle of gastronomy, ideal for milestone celebrations. BUT the reason I give only two stars: Some of the staff were really friendly. It felt really great. While some were so pushy and really emphasizing a lot to order drinks. It felt too much and not nice at all. Another reason is; they made a huge mistake on our bill and charged us for some drinks which we didn’t have. Happily we found out that and we told but. First they were telling that it was correct. When we told them that it was not correct, They said they have to check again. It took a while that they checked again and they realized that they made a mistake and corrected the bill. Even though we found out on time but it felt fooling the customers. What if we were not recognizing that and trusted them and just paid?! For such a high end restaurant which are serving very limited group of people, such mistakes and in that scale is not acceptable. With that said, they destroyed the whole experience for us
The best dining experience of my life. The staff is amazing and food is world class. Worth every penny. When dining here, you are taken on a first-class journey through different flavors and textures and luxurious ingredients. There are literally no other comparable dining experiences in Sweden.
