Visiting Drottningholm Palace was a highlight of my trip. The palace itself is architectural perfection, and the surrounding gardens are so serene and well-maintained. Walking through the palace rooms felt like stepping back in time. The interior architecture is magnificent, and learning the unique stories and history behind each room made the experience even more special. There is also a lovely café on the premises with a fantastic atmosphere, ideal for a coffee break after a long walk. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for beautiful views, rich history, and a relaxing day out.

Really beautiful! Can’t recommmend enough. The cafe by the Kina Slott was serving some delicious waffles and fika. The palace itself was spectacular, but the gardens outside were really show stopping!

We very much enjoyed our visit. We spent about an hour exploring the grounds before our guided tour. While we enjoyed the guided tour, I think the audio guide may have been a better option as the tour was fairly short and we didn't stop in all of the rooms. You are able to explore the palace yourself before or after the tour which we did and would recommend. If I return to Stockholm in the summer I would definitely make the trip back to Drottningholm to see the gardens in bloom. The cafe is good but a bit expensive as to be expected for a tourist spot.

A great day tour idea. Easy to arrive from central Stockholm by public transport. The palace is really well preserved and it’s a great window to Swedish story. The gardens are beautiful and it’s a great spot to have a picnic, relax on the grass and enjoy the day. The palace and other buildings are paid but all gardens are free.

- An absolutely massive and well maintained castle + surrounding property. - Even if you don’t buy tickets to visit the inside, the outside area (free to visit btw) is quite the spectacle in itself. - Good place to have a nice little picnic with friends/family too. - Options to take a boat tour or even canoe. Overall highly recommended!
