Such a great venue to see a live performance. Well laid out, great restaurant on site for a pre-show meal and drink, and super public transport options. Had a wonderful time here abd even though we were in the raised seats in the back of the venue, the circular layout and clear lines of sight made it an excellent seat! Didn't know what to expect as I hadn't been here before but it was smooth sailing the whole time. Even the queue for the toilets moved quickly, everything was clean, and individual cubicles for gender neutral toilets meant everyone had the same queueing experience!
Cirkus is the undisputed grand stage of Djurgården and a legendary powerhouse of Swedish entertainment! Since opening its doors in 1892 to host circus troupes, it has evolved into a world-class sanctuary for music, theater, and comedy. It is a place where the walls are steeped in history, having hosted everyone from ABBA to international rock stars. Today, Cirkus is more than just an arena; it’s a vibrant cultural hub where the red velvet meets a modern, high-energy pulse. Cirkus is the absolute MVP of the Stockholm stage and a total masterclass in 'spectacular nights out!' Walking into the main hall is like stepping into a giant, golden jewelry box of culture. The acoustics are so legendary that even a whisper feels like a symphony, and there isn't a bad seat in the house—you're always close to the magic. But the real secret weapon? The atmosphere! It manages to feel grand and historic while keeping a 'rock n' roll' heart. Whether you're there for a world-class musical or a stand-up show that has the whole room roaring, the energy is infectious. And don't even get me started on the restaurant—grabbing a meal before the curtain goes up turns a night out into a full-blown event. The staff are true pros who handle the crowds with a smile, making sure every guest feels like the star of the show. If you want to experience the soul of Stockholm’s entertainment scene, this is the gold standard. Five stars for the house of a thousand standing ovations! 🙏🏻🕯👑☘️🇸🇪🕊✝️🇻🇦⭐️

Yesterday I saw the performance Aladdin the musical at the circus. What a fantastic show. A more modern version of the Aladdin story in vibrant colors. Sparkling clothes, exciting dances and beautiful singing voices. Both humorous and astonishing. What an inspiring and glamorous show.
Came to see Matt Rife comedy show from Finland. Circus building is very big and has old and new side, I think. We were in the Nya Circus. Nice place for comedy venue. We had drinks before show in a Circus bar. Seating was okay for the comedy show but I was bothered with all the people who were going in and out of the room the whole time. Some got more drinks, others went for bathroom. It was just annoying and disrecpectful for the performer. But the show was excellent!
