İkea köftesi ayağa kalk, büyüğün geldi 🙌🏽😃 Bakfickan is an absolute gem in Stockholm, serving traditional Swedish meatballs that are a culinary masterpiece and infinitely superior to the fast-food versions like Ikea. The meatballs are perfectly seasoned and incredibly flavorful, paired beautifully with a rich gravy and the most velvety, heavenly mashed potatoes you will ever taste. If you want an authentic, top-tier Swedish dining experience with exceptional food and cozy charm, this is a must-visit.
We thought long and hard about where to eat Swedish meatballs, and since we came from Türkiye, meatballs are one of our national and most famous dishes. Yes, maybe we didn't try them all, but we are absolutely convinced that we ate the best meatballs we could find. We are also extremely curious about their other dishes and definitely want to go again on my next trip. Everyone was very friendly, the service was excellent. If you are currently searching for this place and are thinking about whether to go based on the reviews, let this review convince you to go and eat there.
What a lovely restaurant to introduce us to authentic Swedish food. We visited this restaurant on our first evening in Sweden after our half marathon. Because we’d ended our half marathon at around 7pm, we ended up entering the restaurant close to 9pm. Although we were the last guests for the evening, the restaurant was kind enough to accept us without turning us away before their kitchen closed. We ordered the assortment of pickled herring, the Swedish meatballs and the fish soup from the menu. Upon realising that it was our first time trying these dishes, they helpfully explained to us how we could eat everything. We also discovered that pairing meatballs with either lingonberries or pickled cucumbers is a thing - and what pairings these are. Service was warm, friendly and personable. We didn’t have a reservation but we got a nice seat at the bar counter. Definitely a place we would love to come back to if we have another chance.
The food was great, and the quality was superb! Kind of randomly picked this restaurant and I’m glad I did. Really wanted authentic Swedish meatballs and this place didn’t disappoint! Very friendly staff, and knowledgeable on what they serve. Highly recommend this restaurant and their food!
Backfickan was a great experience. The staff was up for every joke and we had a really good time. Lots of locals were eating there which is always a good sign. Our Köttbullar were fantastic and the prices were completely fine. It is definitely better to reserve a table up front since the place fills up quickly. Only to recommend and a clear five stars.
