Went here as part of the tourist package. It’s located in the back of the hotel in the alley. Easy check in and was given a thick jacket. Entered the ice room that was created to the ice hotel that created once a year by all ice up northern Sweden. It’s freezing inside and it’s unique experience, part of it, you got to have a cocktail in ice glass. It’s not strong enough to warm you up but you alway buy more drinks. I only last 30mins and I left. Definitely something to do in case you wonder how cold and how it is at the actual ice hotel. Yup, no need for me for sure. But really enjoyed the experience.
This is a small bar made of ice. It is a great experience. Nice cocktaila served in "glasses" made of ice . Poncho and gloves are provided at the entrance sin e the temperature in there is like -15 Celsius. Definitely worth a visit.
Interesting place to visit. You have to put jacket and gloves first. Drinking in -7 room is completely new experience. Offer of drinks could be wider although naming cocktails according to nordic mythology is nice touch. Price is to high and personal could be friendlier.
For photos this place is ok, smaller than expected and there are more engravings than sculptures. The vibes were decent music playing but if you are expecting anything more than the ice bar gimmick don't get your hopes up. Staff were friendly and helpful, providing advice and ponchos. Reserved tickets on the website then paid in person. Including a cocktail that was middling. For photos good, anything else meh.
Not worth the money! It was nearly $60USD (535kr) for 2 people for a single drink of no more than 8oz of drink in a cup. The receipt we received priced out the drink anyways on top of the entrance fee, why they would advertise 1 free drink per visit and then charge for it? No idea. The room was full of ice and we were dressed up by the crew, but the room was very small and crowded. We were given 45 minutes, but with no free refills (refills started at ~$10USD) and limited sights to see, we left after about 20 minutes. I’ll give them credit considering the drink WAS good, and it’s cool to drink out of a cup made of ice. Biggest ripoff of our 5 day trip. I do not recommend.
