My experience here was excellent. From the very first day, I felt welcome and comfortable. Dora is an amazing host: kind, attentive, and always willing to help. She also speaks several languages, including Spanish, which made communication very easy and helped me feel even more at home during my stay. Her positive energy and warmth make this place feel like a home away from home. She also has great recommendations for things to do in the area. Thanks to one of her suggestions, I joined a boat party that ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about making sure her guests have the best possible experience. As an extra bonus, there are some adorable cats in the hostel’s garden that made my stay even more special. It’s a peaceful, welcoming place full of little details that make you feel good. Thank you for all the help, hospitality, and wonderful moments. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area, and I hope to come back someday!
Dora, steve, adi, Zeljana, Thor, Steff.... I have never thanked you for saving my life, truth is i came to split to well... end myself. But meeting you guys gave me trust in humans again. So for your warmth and hospitality and my life in 2017.... Thankyou and god bless The Bogamoljka Guy
This place does look like the pictures but much dirtier. The bathroom and kitchen are a mess. People done clean up properly and the RULES are not enforced or hinted at. 10 o clock noise curfew is just a notion...with music and partying. Take ear plugs. The cats are a feature and the place smells of cat life. I think the worst thing is the place is not cheap compared to other cities, pristine modern hostels...it's just a sham really. There is a tribe ethic if you are a pseudo hippy, chain smoking, pot lover. It was certainly interesting 😂 so overall I was happy to leave....
It’s a very special place and felt like entering a community rather than a commercial hostel. I loved the terrace, the hostel cats and the kitchen :)) However please don’t stay there more than a night or two if you feel the need for a bit of personal space, quietness and privacy. The hostel is very small, so it feels a little bit like being in the way everywhere (kitchen, reception, “common area” is all squeezed into a tiny space). Only one bathroom (with one sink, two showers and one toilet) for all women wasn’t really enough in my opinion. It’s not possible to lock the bathroom (only the toilet cabin) so it’s hard to get changed anywhere when there’s 10 other people in your dorm. The whole hostel and the rooms aren’t locked either but you get a spacious locker to store your stuff. The volunteers working there + the manager!! are also staying in the main rooms, regularly walking in and out to grab bed sheets from the closet, sometimes loudly discussing their work conflicts. Somehow it felt very uncomfortable taking a rest in there for some time during the day, when I was exhausted of being outside. The cleaning could have been a bit better but that’s normal for a hostel run by volunteers and I think that’s ok! Everyone was nice and it’s easy to get to know people there, but in my experience everyone there was rather in their late twenties and it was hard for me to connect to them as a 19 year old. Regarding the location, it’s like 20min to the closest beach and to the city centre, directly around the hostel are rather ugly apartment buildings, a school and a big construction at the moment. Overall I think it can be a very fun experience to stay in this hostel, but it’s important to know it’s very simple for 20€ per night and don’t overstay!
I went there to stay and they told me that it was under restoration. No messages all of these days before my arrival. A guy there told me to walk another 20 min and go to the other hostel. Thanks god the other hostel had space! Stay away from the place. If it was summer I wouldn’t have anywhere to stay!
