If you want tasty fresh Croatian food, a restaurant that are genuinely passionate about what they do and actually appreciate you being present then this is the place for you! We enjoyed Scampi as an entrée - amazing flavors! Followed by fresh fish - Dentek - black accompanied by roasted vegetables. Finished with their handmade blueberry brandy! The waiters are super attentive, explain what they are serving, explain the wine where it’s from. How did we arrive at this restaurant- firstly good reviews, secondly as we were walking by stopping to look at the menu, we were immediately invited to have a look at the fresh fish displayed that are caught locally. A memorable dinner in Split in a warm and inviting restaurant - Thank you to the whole team!
Everything we ordered was fabulous. The fish stew, fish was firm not mushy, sauce was yummy, we ate every little bite. Sauce in the mussels was yummy, chicken salads were fabulous, chicken was juicy. We even ate all the sauce from the dishes. Service was excellent. Highly recommended.
I didn't really like the fish soup; the taste was quite ordinary. However, the octopus salad and especially the black cuttlefish risotto were amazing! I don't think you can find this kind of flavor anywhere else. Highly recommended for the risotto!
Highly recommend this restaurant. The staff were courteous and ready to answer all the questions we had (while remaining patient and kind). The food was delicious and great portions well worth the price. We had the Octopus Salad and the Fish Pâté for the appetizer along with a recommended local red wine (pictured). The main course was absolutely delicious- Fish Plate. Each filet of fish was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly.
Marjan came highly recommended to us from our Airbnb host and we definitely see why! We had the most amazing meal from start to finish! Our server Frane was absolutely incredible. He gave us excellent recommendations and was top class the whole meal! We shared the tuna tartare as well as the fish dish for two and both were absolutely stunning! We will absolutely be back on our next trip to Split!
