- Ćevapi in lepinja bread with ajvar
Reviews from Google
Cevapi was incredibly good! Little smile from the ladies with service! We had two medium cevapi sandwiches in bread with the tomato and onion and cheese! Was €18 in total. Not any real seating or anything inside, we took them down to the seafront and ate them there
Very nice cevapi! I read the reviews before going and was expecting to be blown away. While it was very nice, it wasn't anything spectacular. The spices they put in the cevapi are nice and you have to have kajmak (cheese) with it - kajmak makes everything amazing. The lepinja (bread) was alright. Lots of reviews say that the bread is amazing, but I found it about the same as bread you find anywhere else. They only accept cash and there's no dining area. Take it down to the Riva and enjoy eating it in the sun!
Addicted to the Cevapi in the Balkan region! Found this while walking around the Old town of Split and wondered what are people patiently lining up for. There are only 2 short benches outside the store, no dine in, only take away. There are 3 options for the Cevapi Sandwich. Small (5pcs) Medium (7pcs), and Large (10pcs). They also have the option for cevapi only without the bun but their bread is also amazing! It will be handed to you warm and the first bite is always the best! They have the Lebanese style pita bread, toasted sides and chewy center. Their cevapi is ohhhhh so good! Get the 10 pieces!! The sandwich is served with the Mediterranean Red Bell Pepper spread and some cheese. This is like the Balkan’s version of a hamburger 😋 They cook the cevapi by batch, so there are times that the waiting time is longer due to it. But once a batch of the cevapi is cooked, the queue will be fast moving. Still, new people coming so there’s always a line. Worth the wait! 🤩
Never had a sandwich like this before. The bread was soft and not chewy at all. The meat tasted of high quality and overall, a very delicious sandwich for lunch. Recommend if you want something than a focaccia which many shops sell in the old town.
* Ćevapi was good. * Price was reasonable. * The owner was not friendly at all, rather rude. Probably she doesn't like tourists. * They don't seem to care about hygiene.
