An extraordinary dining experience that quietly redefines what modern Malay cuisine can become when placed in the hands of people with genuine vision, discipline, and respect for heritage. Under the leadership of GM Long Trán and the remarkable culinary direction of Chef Kevin Chong, every course carried precision without losing its cultural soul. The flavours were layered, elegant, and deeply rooted in Malay culinary identity, yet presented with the confidence and refinement expected of world-class contemporary dining. Nothing felt forced or gimmicky. Just clarity, balance, and craftsmanship. Particular highlights were the extraordinary depth of the broths and sauces, the impeccable seafood execution, and a dessert programme that showed rare restraint and sophistication instead of excessive sweetness masquerading as creativity. Even the bread service deserved applause. Which is mildly inconvenient because ordinary bread now feels emotionally inadequate. Service throughout was warm, polished, attentive, and genuinely knowledgeable without becoming performative. This restaurant does more than earn a Michelin star. It restores rightful attention to the depth, complexity, and elegance of Malay cuisine on the global stage. A deeply memorable experience and one of the finest expressions of contemporary Malay dining I have experienced.
Celebrated my partner’s birthday at Seroja and had such an amazing evening. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was warm and welcoming, and it stayed that way right till the end of the meal. The food was stunning from the start, every course was beautifully done and felt like a real celebration of Nusantara flavours. Thoughtful, bold, and really memorable. Big shoutout to Mira and Hidayat, and the rest of the Seroja team, for taking such great care of us and making the night extra special. Definitely an experience we’ll remember and one we’d highly recommend.
A memorable and wonderful experience at Seroja! It was our first time here, and we’re already planning our next visit. Every single dish was expertly prepared using the freshest ingredients, from the textured small bites to the chewy, charred scallops, ohhh the hearty braised beef in chicken broth, and the creamy Johorean butter 💯! You can really see the effort they put into being as sustainable as possible 👍👏
An absolutely unforgettable dining experience! This Michelin-star restaurant in Singapore blew me away. The five-course meal was Malaysian-inspired but infused with flavors from around the world. Every bite was an explosion of taste, unlike anything I’ve ever had before. The restaurant has limited seating, so you need to reserve months in advance, but it’s 100% worth it. You can actually watch the chefs and their team prepare each dish right in front of you, which makes the whole experience even more special. Every course comes perfectly paired with a drink, and the staff explains how each dish was created and the best way to enjoy it for the ideal flavor balance. What truly stood out was the chef himself ! he came to our table at the end of the evening to chat and share how it took years to perfect this menu. He talked about how they tested different techniques, even adjusting temperatures to make sure each texture and flavor complemented the next. His passion really shows in every dish. The entire staff was warm, professional, and genuinely kind. They even took pictures of us before we left , such a lovely touch! Highly, highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for an exceptional culinary experience in Singapore.
Seroja offers a truly exceptional take on Malaysian-inspired haute cuisine. The open kitchen concept provides a wonderful sense of theatre, and having the chef personally visit our table added a warm, bespoke touch to the evening. The menu is a sophisticated exploration of Southeast Asian flavours, masterfully blending traditional heritage with contemporary techniques. The service was impeccable. Highly recommended for a world-class dining experience.
