I had a chance to visit NGS for "Into the Modern" exhibition and it was amazing, especially because I love impressionism. It also had great views to quite a few tourist spots, which were hidden gems. However, it was a shame that they didn't have much options for the souvenirs.

We spent a whole afternoon here checking out a lot of local artists’ works and as well as taking a guided tour of the Singaporean Story. The buildings were the old Supreme Court (unfortunately most parts were closed due to renovations) and the old City Hall. It was well designed and well laid out. We even had afternoon tea at the National Kitchen located inside of the museum. The only minor gripe was it didn’t have much benches as in other museums where the patrons could rest or reset. All in all, it was a wonderful experience.

A must-visit for art lovers in Singapore! The National Gallery is housed in a stunning historic building with a great mix of classic and modern exhibits. The Padang Deck offers a beautiful view of the city skyline. You could easily spend an entire afternoon exploring everything here. Highly recommended!

All ticketing machines are down today. Third time here as an “Insider”. Exhibits still worth visiting. Some inconsiderate visitors using Baby walkers/strollers, blocking views to take “instagram shots” and used flash light camera 😱 please be considerate of others.

Came here for the Impressionism exhibition which was a temporary exhibition. But in general this place can take 2-3 hours depending on the exhibitions you’d like to cover and your speed. Is it not as crowded as what you’ll see in other national museums in other countries like British Museum of VAM. So you can enjoy this without feeling rushed and cramped here.
