Gilman Barracks is a series of art spaces and galleries representing contemporary south East Asian art and artists. The exhibitions vary but it’s definitely worth a visit to get an overview of the current art scene. Right now there are many exhibitions through to March 26. There are also a couple of places to eat and drink.
24/2/2025 Roam around this area, good place for photography. A few washrooms around. Plenty of parking lots available. A few restaurants but too early when I was here.
Handlebar is an awesome place to visit even if you are no biker. The staff are superb as well as the food. Krysen the wait staff there is very experienced and superb work ethic, which is something to behold. The camaderiw amongst the patrons are also things to look out for too! A must see, go, eat and experience!
Do not be tricked by its quiet and less crowded environment. This place packed a punch with many great artworks . We really enjoyed spending our afternoon here . Highly recommended !
This place has many small private art galleries. Some modern and avant-garde, others traditional. The art exhibitions will change after a few months so it is worth a revisit from time to time. Admission free. There some restaurants around here, too. A nice place to soak in the artistic atmosphere.
