Visited in the evening and not surprisingly, there was no queue at all. Went for the $10.90 option, which feels a bit on the pricey side for hawker fare these days, but it’s understandable with rising costs. The noodles had that perfect springy texture, and the standout was the fried potato wanton—generously sized, packed with tasty fillings, which probably justifies some of the price bump. The pork was flavourful without being overly tough, and the half-boiled egg was lovely but they could have given an entire one. Recommend you to try if you are in the area.
Value for the signature dish is still decently priced (although it is on the higher side for a hawker dish, at $12.80 but it is in CBD) dish is filing, with a pretty big shrimp wonton provided with the signature Singapore style ramen. No complains for the dish. Fried ingredients were served hot as well.
Ordered the Signature Singapore-Style Ramen at $12.80.The soup was tasty. Shrimp wanton was big, with fresh prawns & Shrimp roll was crispy and tasty. Pork belly was tender, and the fats made it very satisfying. The only downside was the wanton noodles, which lacked the springy texture.Overall, still a good bowl of ramen. 👍
For the price, it’s worth it IMO, a decent amount of ingredients and the taste isn’t lacking Overall a can try Noodle is like the crystal jade thin kind with a nice bite to it It’s really pretty insane price point to ingredients with good flavours too there’s a thick slab or pork, wantons, the egg, 2 shrimps. It’s a ton of hard work to make this and therefore overall I’d say it’s a 5. Really nothing to complain about
Ordered the Signature noodles. The sauce for the noodles are similar to those served for wanton noodles in Singapore, which is sweet soya sauce. Recommend to add in their chilli paste (self-serve) for additional layers and depth. Otherwise, it taste normal. Remember they used to taste better (even had slight truffle taste), but maybe i remember wrongly? Ingredients are varied, which add to the different textures and profiles. You have the crunchy, the starchy, the sweet, the savoury, the half cooked egg yolk... Adding chilli to the side also provides a tinge of spiciness to it... And of course, such profiles are also typical of many other dishes found in singapore. The char siew is worth a mention though. Melts in the mouth without feeling that it is too oily. Very nice indeed. However, the noodles come at a price tag of 12.80... not that cheap.. considering it is located at a hawker centre and relatively expensive compared to the other stalls in the same food centre. Overall, will give a 4.5 stars if google allows for it.
