A legendary, cramped, and noisy noodle shop that has served the same recipe for decades.

Signature
Sesame paste noodles with spicy pork (Majiang mian).

麻酱面 really is top notch. its one of the best if not the best. the sauce is really balance, i order the set that comes with the soup and the meat cube. meat cube is not a must la. taste is just normal. the soup is nice also. But the noodle is just godly. i order the fried eel with bamboo shoots if i am not wrong. another master class. lol.

I love it! The food is good and helpful staffs as well tho they don't speak English. It closes at 8.30 in China time so a bit too early. And the price is so cheap comparing with other restaurants in Shanghai that I visited.

Famous for sesame noodle and wonton. They will offer you the English menu if you're white 🙏🏻. Must order curry beef broth on the side and "spicy topping" which isn't really very spicy but is very delicious.

**Review:** This Chinese restaurant was a pleasant surprise! For just 100 yuan, we ordered five dishes, and while not everything was perfect, some were absolutely delicious. The **noodles with peanut sauce** stood out—rich flavor, delicate aroma, practically "Michelin"-worthy at this price! And the **herb dumplings** were tender, juicy, with perfectly thin dough. The food was prepared incredibly fast, ready in just 10 minutes, which was a big plus. Admittedly, a couple of dishes were a bit plain, but given the price and speed, it’s forgivable. If you want tasty and affordable food, I highly recommend it! 4.5/5

It was the best meal we had in Shanghai, Michelin bib gourmand 5 years in a row for a reason. Super good sesame noodles and dumplings, curry beef soup also okay 4/5. People working there are very helpful, there was English menu. Prices very affordable. Recommend!
